Miami Postgame Thoughts

Anyone know why there was no postgame press conferences posted for the game today? Did they happen?

bump. What the deal with this?

Yeah still nothing - longest I’ve seen it go w/o being posted. Forces me to listen to Cristobal’s press conference. Yuck

Nothing has been uploaded.

Maybe the team plane took a detour through the Bermuda Triangle?

Responding here since I can’t respond in the game thread. I never said Angeli would not be a good enough QB for next season. I was very satisfied with his performance. But there is one portal window now in January, and some WRs won’t know exactly how his recovery will go. The WRs want to show their talent while they have that chance. And did we not just learn what happened when we lost a QB? I don’t see our backup on the current team. Carney has not shown it either. If we want to keep our really good receivers (both current and committed to SU) Fran still needs to find someone who can run this team if Angeli’s recovery is delayed. And if we want to take that step up in football status, then a really good backup QB is essential. I know I’ve also said in the NIL world this is a difficult find but this is what Fran is good at. And this unknown is why I worry about the stability of our WR room.
That's why you use the last game as Carney's debut against BC to show he can run the offense and keep his redshirt.

Nobody is watching CBB outside March Madness. Unless one is a diehard diehard.
I do think that tide is about to change again. And yes Syracuse being good again will have a lot to do with it. Same can be said for Georgetown. College Basketball needs the historically good programs to all be good at once and not take complete off years.

I understand the frustration with Fran. He is young coach learning. There have been a number of speed bumps the season. However, I still think we are on an upward trajectory. The last few coaches did not win either much and could not recruit. Even with this season Fran is still recruiting at a high level. You cannot win without talent. The freshman are getting a lot of playing time. I know that a lot of people are not happy thinking about playing for next season but it is what it is. As long as we keep the core pieces and fill in the portal at qb, lb and Dline we could have a good bounce back year.

That is a lot of filling in with positions in very high demand.

I worry that Fran is recruiting a bunch of WRs and DBs but no beef. And QBs.

Fran’s take that big guys beat up on small guys is not working. Our offensive lineman are like statues. They have zero mobility and can’t get out of their own way. Pitt’s small defensive line just toyed with our line. You need athletic lineman to win, not ploppers.
