Miami Postgame

During Virginia Tech game both JJ and George were in foul trouble. Zephyir came in and played good - not great, but good. He played 13 or 14 minutes to close out the half. Didn’t look to score. Just distributed the ball like an old school point guard. We held on to the lead and was up by 7 at the half. He hasn’t seen the court since.

I’m not saying he is better than George, but I can’t believe he hasn’t seen the court since. Red is gone at the end of the year, but if he doesn’t try to shake things up and try a new starting lineup he should be let go at the first media timeout. Albert Einstein described insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.

I’ve been a fan since 1986 and will be making my first trip to the dome to see us play Notre Dame. I can’t wait to experience the dome but I never expected to her the students chant ‘Fire Autry’ or possibly see the team give up at the end of the game.

So hoping things will turn around but I’m not suffering from insanity.

If we want to make the tournament they’re both bad losses. At some point folks need to stop with the “one quad 2 loss/quad 3 loss isn’t a killer” stuff. It’s been going on all season. We’re 12-7 and 3-4 in conference. At some point you gotta forget the quads and win some damn games. We’re incapable of winning enough games.
I agree, just saying that the issues run deeper than the final score

One of our local tv stations (Rochester) show lots of hs bball highlights. I've seen more / better plays than I've seen from Red since he took over. His substitution "pattern" is awful. His coaching has degraded the talents of these guys. How does a COACH allow players have such horrendous ft techniques! Coaches are supposed to TEACH them how to play!

After looking at Hofstra's last 4 games (losses) I'm thinking that loss wasn't as solid as it seemed at the time!
Hey red lost to a team that has lost to nc att, william and mary, and stony brook. Lol

I get that people want to blame Wildhack…but this is 1000% on the BOT. The problem at Syracuse has been for AT LEAST FORTY YEARS we have people on the board who think they are more qualified to run a college athletics department than our AD. We are fortunate Wildhack has stayed around to try to manage through a disaster of a structure at Syracuse. There’s a reason why Coyle peaced out so fast - some of it was wanting to get to the Midwest….a lot of it was him realizing Syracuse University is a dumpster fire.

No matter how bad you think Wildhack is - when he leaves I expect it will get much, much, much worse. Nobody with any other options is going to want to hop on and conduct this trainwreck of an organization - we’re going to long for the good ole days of the competence and professionalism of Gross.
This. 1000x this.

I thought that was my first AA counselor who came up with that.
