Nova came to play tonight. They are in hyper hustle mode and if the game was decided on desire and hustle it would be a complete blow out! Very impressive. Playing with passion and urgency which is a great thing to watch in College Basketball.

Oh my! The intensity of this game is incredible. When it gets down to the sweet sixteen and lower there is a significant and very noticeable rise in effort and hustle to the point that the game appears to be going at a frenetic pace. The teams that advance are the ones which can kick it up that extra notch and still not lose the continuity on both offense and defense that got them there in the first place.

Bottom line... play deep in the tourney bears little if any resemblance to games played up to the point prior to the start of the tourney with a few exceptions being in conference tournament play. But often times it almost seems like teams hang back from that overdrive gear in preparation of knowing they still need some high test in the tank for the big games on the National Title Stage.
