At 6-7 if he can defend the wing he will absolutely stick in the league because he can shoot. Lots of guys have made a career out of doing those two things. Mike has some pretty good play making skills as well so again if he shows he can defend the wing well I don't see any reason he won't become a long term second unit NBA guy. 17.5, 4.1, 4.1 last year when the defense focused on him. He should get much better looks in the NBA.

So glad he found a good roster that will enable him to stick for a year or 2 to prove his worth [which is never a guarantee when you're a mid-second round pick]. He's got the making of a 10+ year NBA journeyman.

Man, those were some great comments by VanGundy. That's the kind of the thing that you want to hear a coach say about your son or daughter. Not that I'm surprised that Mike is earning that sort of reputation, but it sure makes you proud as an SU fan.

Good for Mike G. Maybe his continued success will help the NBA to rethink overlooking and devaluing older, experienced college players for young, inexperienced, undeveloped players with raw athletic potential. SUballWould help SU's rep for preparing players for the NBA too. Will be interesting to follow his career, it's still pretty early.
