I am watching UM students protest against the coach and AD about lack of protection for its injured player (among other things, but that was the catalyst.)
At Ped state, they protested in support of a coach and AD who were, at best, pedophile enablers.
Interesting contrast.

It would be more interesting if Hoke had won 3 NC and was the all time leader in games won. Would Michigan students be so altruistic then?

No, But in fairness, neither would I.

No, but the frustration has been building and every little bit adds to it. The news that Sumlin was interested in the job when they hired Hoke isn't going to help either Brandon or Hoke.

This is the straw that broke the camel's back. It's the way that the students, alumni, and fanbase has been treated by the Athletic Department, the attitude of it and the head coach, and that given all of this, that the university was embarrassed on a personal and national level by the actions last Saturday.

Don't underestimate the culture of the "Michigan Man". What's happened under Brandon has been the diametric opposite of what we see the University of Michigan and its AD standing for.

Count me as one of the alums that's incredibly pissed off, and I've voiced my displeasure to the university.

It seems like all of football is under siege right now. NFL, college, exposes on PBS , on ESPN on how dangerous the sport is. Concern that parents will not let children play the sport in High School. And then the lawsuits for medical injuries that have been blamed for dementia to aggression to murder. Maybe we are in the late days of this as a sport.

I completely understand the "straw that broke the camel's back" thought process. My point is that you can't really compare it to Penn St.

LOL sugar coating your posts again i see !

Yes, one group is supporting a guy that covered up/ turned a blind eye to rape and children being victimized for years, the other wants a coach and AD fired because of wins and losses and is using some back up QB as an excuse to try and run them out of town, Stand by my statement, both deplorable, all idiots and D bags.

Wouldn't even hear a peep if Michigan was 4-0

Losers

The problem is, Michigan shouldn't have fired Carr in the first place.

They're definitely on two different levels, but my point is that I'm much confident that Ann Arbor Torch & Pitchfork company would have similar sales under a Penn State example.

I'll agree on PSU, I think the Michigan case is light years from the PSU situation.

Michigan needs complete new leadership. Brandon needs to go and the new AD should then decide on Hoke. However, most likely Hoke should go as well.

Michigan has been passed by little brother Sparty badly. Ohio State has beaten Michigan 10 times in their last 11 meetings and likely 11 out of 12 this year. Michigan had a 22 game advantage on the alltime series it is down 13.

Michigan has so much talent on that roster its embarrassing they are 2-3. Dan Harmon's number was unretired for Devin Gardner.

It makes me feel like a horrible hypocrite, but I don't want my son playing football, yet I get an unbelievable amount of entertainment from the sport.

They're definitely much different, but IB is right. If Michigan is 4-0 right now, instead of being the first EVER Michigan team to lose 3 games in September (let that settle in), that protest has the same attendance as the Save the Oilers rally in Houston. Which you could count on your hands and feet, assuming you had most of your digits.

Michigan people are a bunch of idiots, they need to quit worrying about people being Michigan men, whatever the is and go out and hire the best football coach available. Good lord. Alabama finally figured that out when they hired Saban.

Harbaugh isn't coming back to Michigan. He said no when he was still at Stanford. There will be 4-5 NFL teams killing themselves to get him next year. Don't think that the raiders won't try and get him as well, if he does leave the 49ers. If you can't stick in the nfl why would you coach college? It's a horrible gig compared to the NFL, IMO.

In addition how many times does les miles need to turn them down as well. That said, harbaugh probably is the best available so it would be great to see but I just can't see him coming back. I just don't. He hasn't been really been gung-ho michigan
