Michigan

I feel so bad for the Michigan fan base. 1-2 record, how do they get up each morning and go to work? They must be so upset.
They all work in finance and all struggle to get up and go to work because they all work in finance. The Michigan losing only compounds it.

Game just seems to have passed Harbaugh. Guy was a hot coaching commodity 5 years ago but football's change a lot since then.

Largest halftime deficit at home since Michigan Stadium opened in 1927.

Seems bad.
The biggest halftime deficit at home before this game might have been when Syracuse played Michigan there in 1998. We led 24-7 at halftime. We were incidentally up 38-7 after the 3rd quarter, before Coach P called the dogs off and Michigan scored 21 in the 4th to make the final score look somewhat respectable.

2-7 record this year. Was an assistant on the patriots for the WR/Special Teams which was the Patriots weakest positions. Only HC job he was up for was in college and it was Southern Miss. Won't do the right thing and tank the season so we can get Trevor Lawrence a generational QB. Heck with the way we are playing we won't even be able to get Justin Fields at this point. We tank big this season to set up big winning seasons for the next decade plus.
Ok, a lot of the things I see here would’ve been concerns prior to him getting hired. We’re past the halfway point so his prior experience is irrelevant.

I’ll never understand tanking, but, if that’s your opinion then so be it. Trevor may end up being great in the NFL... But I just don’t see selling quit to 53 guys this year so we can bring in a guy who may or may not be guy for the future. Do you think drafting him #1 immediately gives the Giants what they need to be the team you think they can be? Because that’s what that investment is.

Daniel Jones has been frustrating this year no doubt, but he’s shown plenty of capability. It’s hard for me to believe Trevor Lawrence will be that significant of an upgrade, especially immediately.

There’s usually a 2-3 year burn before the rookie QB’s get comfortable enough in the system to execute at higher levels. And when Trevor goes to a sub-par NFL Team versus the greatest assembly of talent type team in the NCAA, it’s a pretty good bet there’ll be some fall off.

But hey, Burrow and some of these other young guys are playing pretty lights out.

I don’t think you’ll ever find a team say that it’s the right thing to do. I mean as stupid as this scenario is, the Giants win today and they’re a 1/2 game outta 1st for the division with 6 weeks left. Right, wrong or indifferent, you don’t quit on that.

And the bad news is, even if the Giants are in a position to draft Fields, they ain’t gonna.

For my money, Joe Judge has checked a ton of boxes this year. Really strong hire thus far imo.

He’s building a culture of accountability and discipline. Something we’ve lacked big since Coughlin left.

Defense has been an immense upgrade, way beyond expectations.

Offensively Garrett plays a ball control type game. I think Danny Dimes is being far too meticulous, kids just gotta start playing and let it rip. He'll get better with the turnovers, but it’s maddening at times. We’re not very talented at WR and super young on the OL. That line’s going to develop and the offense will improve with some more talent at the skill spots.

ST’s are fine.

Did you see Golden Tate’s response to the media? When have you ever seen a 10-year NFL vet be so contrite after a temper tantrum? Judge had him run scout team all week and left him in his apartment for a divisional tilt.

That rookie HC with no experience just dropped the hammer on something fairly minor and the team listened and responded. Give me that type of coaching everyday of the week, because those are the teams that win games eventually.

As of right now, I love the JJ hire.

In 2000, for a brief period, I worked with a Michigan grad, a diehard football guy (I assume they all are). He told me that the buzz around the stadium that day was that no one had ever come into Michigan Stadium and did what we did to them that game. They would have voted McNabb for the Heisman on the spot.

I was at that game. It was one of the best Orange days ever. At the time i believe it was a record crowd. 100k plus and you could here a pin drop. Great experience.

Hearing Harbaugh is all but gone from Ann Arbor...his tombstone will read never beat Ohio State...

If you keep trying to make sense, he'll never get it (just as he doesn't get that professional athletes don't 'tank').

Now, suggest firing a few S&C staff members, and NOW you're talking!

Henceforth I will start every day of my life with a thank you prayer that you are not the GM of the Giants and a wish prayer that you aren’t the GM of anything.

If there was a love emoji, you sir, would’ve gotten that for this post.

That game reminded me of the McNabb destruction of MIchigan in Ann Arbor long ago (my family was in the stands). If we had not gone to second and third stringers, Michigan would have been crushed even more.

Good times. Hope to see them again some day

Not completely accurate. We were up 31-7 and mungro TD to make it 38-7 was called back for holding. We didn’t score 38 until they punched in a couple scores.

No, my account is completely accurate. Check the box score, which reflects what actually happened on the field that day.

My bad. It was 38-7 when mungro had a TD called back for holding. If the refs didn’t call that it’s 45-7. I remember being pissed about the call.

I'll never forget the tennessee fans (at Maggie's or 44's? , that I forget) telling me after the tennessee game that we were going to kill michigan. I didn't believe them
