Might be time to stop worrying about Duke as a potential 1 seed

They're already sitting at 3 losses, meaning they probably end up with at least 6.

That's not to say we don't have to worry about Duke passing us. But if Duke passes us by the end of the year, then probably a bunch of other teams will as well.

Using the most recent Lunardi (1/2) that Raleigh pod could get real interesting. Before the weekend's action he had Duke and Nova there as #3's with UNC as a #4 to Orlando and UK as a #4 to San Diego. Also Louisville and UMass were #5 seeds who could potentially get a Raleigh pod. If things go as we think there will be many teams fighting for those 2 Raleigh spots after SU and tOSU are sent to Buffalo.

If they don't get a 1 seed, then they are probably better off being a 4 seed to get MSG. (or maybe worse). Basically they'd have to be the 4th team out of the ACC to get MSG (assuming Duke in this case gets the east)
Theoretically they could be the first or second #2 seed and no one else from the ACC is ahead of them and still get MSG though

If Duke finishes the season with 2 or 3 more losses than us, but beats us twice and does better in the ACC Tourney, they will def get the 1 ahead of us. There aren't many other threats in the East to get a 1.

I won't ever count Duke out. I've never liked them but K can coach and Parker is terrific. They were not the best team, talent-wise, when they won it all a couple of years back. Cuse would have ripped them. But they won the whole thing. I give Larranaga credit for his game plan yesterday but K is far better and is definitely worth points in any match up.
