Might cut the cord

I've seen all that Spectrum provides and it is tempting, but I'd really hate to lose the DVR capability the YTTV provides. I rarely watch anything live anymore as I can't stand commercials, so I record everything that we tend to watch on broadcast TV.
Also, Max, Paramount +, AMC +, Hulu, Disney +, ESPN +, Peacock that is included are all the lower tier ones with commercials, correct? Can you upgrade any of them to commercial free (I assume for a fee)?
And is Cloud DVR+ a DVR offering from Spectrum.
How much does the Spectrum + Cloud DVR+ subscription cost (after any first year discount offers)?
Varies by service. Max and Paramount + are commercial free. And the cloud DVR is actually very good now. Would not have said that a year ago. And it used to limit you to 100 programs. Now unlimited.

Like I said, Spectrum deserves a lot of the criticism it receives. And l like would have stayed with YTTV if they didn’t drop live Yankee games, but the service enhancements have made Spectrum a viable option, at least for now.

What are you using for streaming with Spectrum?
My MIL has one of those Xumo boxes and it's terrible. I gave her my older Roku to use instead.

I use Rokus or the app on Samsung smart TVs.

Yeah, I have a Chromecast that I got for free (or significantly discounted) but I gave her my older Roku as she already had roku on another TV and is familiar with it. It's a nightmare giving her something new and different. She basically just needs to get to the Spectrum TV app as that's pretty much all she watches. She watches it like watching TV on a cable box.

Does the new ESPN service (~$30) include all of ESPN's affiliate channels like ACC Network and ACCNX? Just wondering if I can have only that to watch Syracuse, rather than YouTube TV? Obviously, if something would not be on an ESPN platform I'd be out of luck.

From what I have read, yes it does.

There will still be games not covered by the ESPN app. SU is likely to play on CW a couple times this season. They are playing ND on NBC in November.

So I would be sure you can get those stations as well, even if only using an antenna to get them.
