It used to be just Chancellor and then in 1952 they changed it to Chancellor and President, I'm not too sure why.Chancellor and President. Why two titles? When I was a student, William Tolley was Chancellor. I Googled the two titles and they are interchangeable. Large university systems like California and North Carolina have a system president and individual university chancellors under the president. Can anyone explain this for me?
