Can't wait to watch it On Demand. Was eating at the bar and it was on, but obv no sound. Groundbreakers. Loved the clips of Saunders(?) and others looking so young on WFAN. And the ads of Francessa with the 'stache were amazing.post your thanks to them for legitimizing SportsTalk Radio and making it what it is today, here.
Bob Thompson and JB getting face time on this doc!
Lot of memories in it, wow.
Like all 30/30s, it's very good.
Pretty funny and even a little sentimental without going over the top, legit stuff like Mikes bro and Russo's departure and the love of his dad by Mike.
All you lebatard guys should now see where he gets that schtick from.
Yeah Thompson all over it and a little JB, lots of Ian Eagle.
O78, I think you meant 'The Schmoozer' Steve Somers.
A shot of the 'legendary' Suzyn Waldman, who was the 1st voice ever heard on The Fan, giving those 1st words.
A young Malusis & Carlin laughing when they produced just cracked me up, praise from Michael Kay...good stuff.
Too much to mention.
Great clips, great watch.
All will enjoy.
It's too bad they didn't feature more segments with callers. No Dorris from Rego Park?

I thought one hour was too short. It should have been two hours.
Also thought they talked about Mike more than Mad Dog.
I personally liked Mad Dog more than Mike.
I was hoping for 90 minutes, but I knew it was 60 so I was prepared.I thought one hour was too short. It should have been two hours.

Who did you like more Francesca or Mad Dog? My guess Big Mike because he is a Giants/Yankees guy.I was hoping for 90 minutes, but I knew it was 60 so I was prepared.
they could've gone deeper into how they created Radio Row at the SuperBowl in 90, how out of hand 94 was and what they were doing to add to the fever pitch of the 96 Yankees.
they were doing their show from the Stadium, right up to the pregame, then would come on again after the postgame and go to like 2AM.
it was awesome.
you could leave the game or go home from the bar and by the time you got home, the post game was over and everyone would put on the radio and fall asleep to those 2 rehashing the game. the callers were drunk and and/or crazy...it was like nothing ive ever heard before or after.
i never picked a side.Who did you like more Francesca or Mad Dog? My guess Big Mike because he is a Giants/Yankees guy.
Their post game 7 2004 ALCS show on YouTube is must watch.
Definitely should've been a bit longer.
I discovered them in '02 on YES & have been a fan since. Sure Mike is an ass but a lot of guys in that job are asses and don't really know sports. I was an NFL Films junkie kid so I appreciate the guy who is getting paid at least being able to recite all the Super Bowls offhand as I can. Of course the unintentional comedy of taking himself way too seriously adds to the charm in a way that can't really be replicated.
I don't think running a baseball team is half as difficult as JB apparently does.
I always heard her at the end of the night shift, say 5 a.m. or so. This NYT article says her usual call-in time was 1 a.m.It's too bad they didn't feature more segments with callers. No Dorris from Rego Park?
