I'm about over the Post-Standard in general. I've long defended it because of some family ties but I'm so sick of the negativity - which is intentional and purposeful, by the way - by the vast majority of their writers.

They refused to write about the football team having the highest team GPA in program history until they realized it was weird NOT to mention it, yet they're creating stories like this one willy nilly. It's astonishing.

The negativity is puzzling... in the media's eye's SU cannot do anything right. Yet without SU sports what would the sports page write about? Are there so many alternatives around the CNY area that the Post Standard has the luxury of constantly bashing the program? I would think the community should be informed in a way to embrace the team for better or for worse and take pride in the fact that this local university works to compete with powerhouse programs on a national level.

It's funny. I have a boss that demands perfection. I don't care because it's admirable to strive for and it helps you minimize mistakes. The problem is, is that on this Earth we are surrounded by morons. And I mean that with all ill-intent. And when you're surrounded by them it's hard to try and be better.

Someone (it may have been on here) said "think about a person of average intelligence and what that means. Then think about the fact that half the population is dumber than that." Brent axe is somewhere on that spectrum.
