Im sure that she is a good person and works hard but name one thing that she has accomplished during her tenor that has increased the quality of live and for the residents of Syracuse.

Name one thing that she has done that has increased employment in Syracuse.

Name one thing that she has done that has increased the tax base in Syracuse

Like i said im sure that she is a good person but when it comes to being a pro active civil leader she has been a Minor. Im sure she had her feelings hurt by the way the stadium situation was handled but she missed a great opportunity. She had a chance behind the scenes to become a true leader and she failed. By putting the cart before the horse she has shown that she is Minor league when it comes to big time politics. Small ego centric thinking on her part.

When you really hear why,it might change your views.

Your 2nd. line is hitting pretty close to the reason.

I would like to know the reason, honestly still can't understand it for the life of me why she didn't initially get on board. At least say your tentatively on board. There will be a million chances to kill the deal if it's not in your favor. In fact I think she lost leverage with her current response.

Ok reading between the lines the suggested location may not have provided a tax benefit to the city. If that is the case it could have been solved behind closed doors and resolved easily. I have cut deals with numerous economic dev groups both in this country and others. When you have 200m on the table you get it done you dont it up. She is a total joke.

I can't figure out if you're for or against the project.

You're a union guy...it would mean hundreds of jobs for the community and millions in subsequent tax revenues.

I don't think enough can be said about the fact that our Democratic Gov went to the Republican County Executive rather than work through the Democratic Mayor of one his largest cities. To me...that speaks volumes about her competency.

Not sure how that property would get out of paying something if it's built by a private developer. Land lease?

Hold tight...she is 100 % for it, so am I, but too many here is focusing in the wrong areas.

COR/SU along with the county executive approached Cuomo. Miner IS REALLY LOOKING OUT FOR THE COMMUNITY HERE.

I can' come out in public until some very important details are worked out.

nope

kcsu has it right. Retro have you actually asked yourself why they didn't include her in the first place?

Big mistake in not bringing everyone to the table. Still Minor had a chance to rise above it and gain leverage by being the good guy vs a b otch. I have met her actually thought she was sharp. I hope that there is much more to the picture as at this point she looks very small and self centered

I certainly can't fault her for wanting to read the small print.Do you not read the small print when you sign a contract.?To much crap gets pushed through under the table in politics.Let her do her job as she see's fit and than judge the whole situation. It's not like this has to be done tomorrow.

you know absolutely nothing here...

She's been involved longer than what was being led to believe. At first I thought she was last to bring along and maybe she was, but the information I am getting she is truly looking out for the community.

Her god damn stepson is on the board of COR and she knows their games and game plans.

I honestly don't think this has anything to do with small print. It's about bruised ego and getting her panties in a bunch.

New hotel in Armory Square, King & King Architects building completed and full and took ownership of Inner Harbor development. For that alone she should be lauded or that property would likely still be a vacant cesspool.

She also worked with the state to develop the land bank to seize tax delinquent properties so people that will actually pay their property taxes can take ownership.

She's not a pushover that much is certain but she's done a whole lot more for the city in her first four years than Driscoll did in all of his 8 years.

If she knows the game, she ain't playing it well.

A desperate plea for $16m in December and a 0% increase for the City in January doesn't give me a damn bit of confidence she knows the right game to play.

Doesn't Cuomo know that leaving the mayor out of the loop for a project in her city is stupid?
Was this him trying to embarrass her and control central NY politically?

If you know all of this then why is she acting like she knew nothing about it? That's really funny you think she is looking out for the community. That's almost laughable.

The way Miner handled it exemplifies why she was not brought on board earlier. She would muck it up by demanding every single answer up-front while the project is in concept stage. It would have brought talks to a screaming halt. And she proved that. Let's be honest She was not looking out for the city. She was bent out of shape... bruised ego...and as a result, acted in the way she acted to prove she is the one in control.

I would like to know how spending 500 mil inside the city limits could hurt the city. What or should I say who is she looking out for besides herself, the community? Please explain how?

Not sure how this could possibly hurt the community...is she worried about traffic? GO anywhere else in the country, NYC, Dallas, Boston, anywhere...traffic here is nothing even if they put a stadium every mile we couldn't touch the traffic of other major metro areas.

Police, infrastructure? Really. Do you really think this would be an issue when this would be a taxable structure, taxable wages for the workers, taxable products being sold, parking and the taxes on the lots.

I would like to hear something that makes sense as to why she would put the kibosh on this project.

She mentioned in an interview that when stories like this break her phone rings and she has to explain to people what is going on...really, no really, is that it?

She is a joke.

it might matter if your unemployed and living in this community!!!
