No. 1 Tottenville 49, John Adams 6:Augustus Edwards rushed for four touchdowns and Alvin Cornelius had a punt return and a kick return for touchdowns to lead Tottenville (3-0), which travels to Erasmus Hall next week. Kenny Coughlin also scored on a fumble recovery. Adams (1-2) hosts FDR in Week 4.

Dalton Crossan, Football: Just like with Casali above, it's hard not to pick Crossan for North, but we'll try our best to spread it out. It's difficult to overlook 22 carries, 192 yards and three touchdowns. The last 21-yard touchdown also helped put the game away with 1:38 left in a 25-14 win over rival West Islip.

Oneonta had established an annual football dinner and the 1956 edition was held Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the Elks Club on Chestnut Street. More than 150 friends, family and fans attended to celebrate a successful season.
Les Dye, Syracuse University freshman football coach, was the featured speaker. He spoke highly of Jim "Andy" Anderson, former OHS player and member of Dye's squad in 1956. Dye said Anderson was being counted on as a Syracuse star of the future. Anderson played on the 1959 Syracuse national championship team.
