Is the quarterback without his mouthpiece in a penalty? There was a series of 4 or 5 plays where Hunt did not have his mouthpiece. Don't know if we could have been called for it or not.

Hmm based on the title i thought this would be a thread involving dr Gross.

It was hanging from his helmet the entire first drive. I was wondering the same

Which is completely stupid to not wear it all the time. You only get one set of real teeth, so protect those babies.

It is mandatory equipment in the NCAA. I wonder why that call was left out of the "screw job" that some think we got/are getting from ACC refs?

The refs didn't see it would be my guess being an orange mouthpiece on an orange helmet. I bet if we wore the blue helmets they'd have thrown the flag immediately.

Maybe that's it. I bet the refs would have warned him first.

You'd hope but how many times have we gotten rung up on equipment violations in the past?

The refs were probably busy reading the script of what flags to throw and when. The kick catch interference call was comedy when our guys was just standing there and a few seconds later the ref arbitrarily throws a flag in after the fact.
