Moving forward how does Silver react when players

Are we all on the same page that a white person using the word "ni--er" and a black person using the word "ni--a" are as opposite of contexts as exist in the English language? You can't make rules applying to both - they are completely different words and meanings.
My experience has been that the term "ni--er" is used when blacks are addressing each other. And very frequently. They say it's a term of "endearment ". The older generation of blacks are disgusted by any reference, or pronunciation, of it. I struggle with this.to me it just makes things worse.

I had the same experience back when I was young and, you know, made shots.

Whether I made shots or not, and I made a lot of shots, I was always called 'Kevin McHale'. Good thing racism can't happen to white people or my feelings might have been hurt.

That was a compliment. If they were being racist, they would have called you "Uwe Blab"
