My Pre-Spring Depth Chart

Agree on Pringle. Though he is still young and might get better.

I think the best grouping for us is probably Hawn at LT, Washington at LG, Stewart at C, Cruz at RG and Mack at RT. Also like Scatcliffe a lot.

It should be an interesting spring. Lots of promising OL out there….
I like the look of this starting group a lot. Hoping this is what we get. Or maybe with Kam plugged in at one Tackle spot and Hawn to Center if Stewart is not ready.

Yea Pringle had a moment where Rickie threw that pick 6 vs Miami and Pringle was just too heavy to keep up and it was very evident he needed to lose weight. Thats the only time I remember him sticking out.
Was he the one that barely got out of his stance and the edge guy just blew past him for a sack?

World of college football does not work that way anymore.

We paid Russell WR1 $$. He will be WR1.
I feel no frosh should be put up that high eventhough he gets paid well unless he deserves it in practice. cant ever GIVE aplayer un earned time. i think u may be right but we wont knowtill later.

We certainly will have a young team in 2026. If we have a solid year in 2026, then 2027 could be excellent. Our roster has very few seniors. Other than the DL, all units should remain very much intact in regards to graduation. Disregarding any players will portal out, we will be stacked in 2027

If you look at OE's potential roster thread that has class and position breakdown, you can see all of this nicely there.

I really like the young pieces at edge and the Wr and Db room we are LOADED with young talent.

With four days until spring ball, here are my five breakout players to watch this spring:

Calvin Russell Jr. – WR (True Freshman)
A five-star freshman with elite size and athleticism. He can jump out of the gym and has the length and frame to be a major problem for defenses. If he continues to get stronger and sharpens his route running, he could make a huge impression this spring.

Kamron Wilson – DE (True Freshman)
A fast, long pass rusher who looks like he has already added the weight he needed. I expect him to cause problems for this young offensive line all spring with his speed off the edge and natural pass-rushing ability.

JJ Johnson – RB (Junior)
An explosive running back who can break away for big gains at any moment. He also has great hands out of the backfield and can turn small plays into big ones. He flashed real potential last year in the SEC, and I’m excited to see what he does with a bigger role at Syracuse.

Tedarius Hughes – Safety (True Freshman)
A four-star safety with a real chance to see the field early. From watching his film, his ball skills really stand out. If he continues to add weight and strength, he could quickly put the safety room on notice. He’s a natural cover safety and true ball hawk.
Matt Outten – WR (Redshirt Freshman)
An explosive and still-developing transfer from Penn State. With Josh Gattis working with him, I believe he could develop into a breakout player. His speed and elusiveness could become very valuable in this offense, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he shocks a lot of people this spring.

There really hasn't been much information coming out of practices, at least not for us out-of-towners.

I went back and scanned the football articles -- there have been a few, but mostly about injured players, with one or two mixed in about new guys like Calvin Russell and the new DC.

Hard to get a feel for the depth chart.

We’ve added a lot of new players with real experience at the lower levels of college football, and I expect that to bring much more consistency this season. Overall, I think the talent and experience are improved from last year across the board, and there’s a strong group of young players who look ready to contribute in year one or year two. The true and redshirt freshmen, especially along the offensive line, defensive line, and in the defensive back room, have a real opportunity to climb the depth chart this spring, and I believe some will. I’m especially watching the position battles at OL, DL, DB, and WR, and I’m excited to see what 5-star wide receiver Calvin Russell Jr. can do. This is just my early take on the roster, and with players likely switching positions during spring ball, I’ll put together a post-spring depth chart once things start to settle:
