my take on all of the fsu clemson chatter

Swofford will not sit still we can count on this. If FSU leaves Miami becomes the key. Two florida teams is great but we need to keep one for TV purposes. If Clemson were to leave who really cares as they only have their own fans and the TV foot print isnt all that great. If ND would come on board that would be the answer but if they dont than you need to make dam gang sure that Miami stays put that is job one. Job two is to reach out to the best TV market available. Uconn or Rutgers would be my first pick with Uconn most likely getting the nod because of Bball. Next up on my wish list would be Navy. National brand that brings a very good tv audiance with it and i believe they might jump. Second bet would be Rutgers which in combo with BC Cuse Uconn would really solidify the east. Anyway you look at it we are much better off in the ACC with this fight on our hands than in the Big East.

IMO the key is VT not Miami. VT would be the only FB school left. So they have more incentive to leave than the rest of the schools. Also they would be the most coveted school left. Should they leave then it could cause a domino effect. The ACC can survive a loss of FSU and Clemson, but not VT as well. If FSU and Clemson leave then add UConn and RU.

The idea of Florida State and Clemson going to the Big 12 makes my head want to explode. It's as dumbass of an idea as I hear on the MGoBlog board of the Big Ten adding North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Maryland, and Virginia.

Someone posts something stupid, in the slow offseason someone on a blog runs with it, then it goes to Twitter, then a bunch of other blogs run with it, then the mainstream media takes it as multiple confirmed reports, then someone affiliated with a school says something stupid, and then it's complete and total panic.

People need to get a grip.

why would you add Uconn AND Rutgers? Why not Uconn and Louisville?

IF the defections are limited to FSU and Clemson I believe the ACC stands pat and does not invite anyone else.
