My Take

, QBs get to much credit for the team winning and to much blame when losing.
A quibble… I know this is a long standing football cliche, but I don’t think it’s at all true these days. Given the evolution of the game over the past 2 decades, I can’t think of a more critically important position in team sports. In most cases, QBs should get a ton of credit when a team wins, and a lot of blame when a team loses, because they have more impact on a game than anyone else, often by a mile.

i believe clearly that shrader should be the starter. he has a much better presence, a greater amount of poise, nothing gets him to excited good or bad. he has a better focus and makes thinks happen. he obviously cannot throw the long ball.. maybe they can work on that. i also believe that td would be better coming off the bench.
i believe against better opponents shrader would be the my first choice . he is steady does not panic, he can run and throw on the run.
i was disappointed in ol --albany got pressure on qbs alot . not to many sacks but consistant disruptive pressure.

Execution was good yesterday… Always stuff to clean up, but it’s nice to have games like that.

Yo-yo of confidence thus far this season. We come off with a good performance against Liberty and the team can gain some .

Is there a better ACC opener than FSU right now? Methinks not. That thing can snowball down there if Norvell doesn’t get it moving quick this year.

Hey, keep working and take one game at a time.

Sean Tucker is awesome. His 8 yard TD in the first yesterday was one of his best runs. I know most people will look to the chunk plays or the long TD’s but he saw the crease and attacked it downhill on that run. Hes a Sunday back.

Jared Verse

Recruited (offered??) by Syracuse. Hmm

TD first quarter, pocket broke down, in his face and he dropped a 50 yard bomb on a dime *while getting hit*. BTW the bomb was to the left for everyone saying he can only throw right

He has done this numerous times, that one was caught but unfortunately the catch rate from the wr on his bombs is <50% the last 2 years
Good observation

I agree. At this point, I just don’t see much with Schrader that impresses me.
Kid hasn't played QB in almost 2 years...

New school, new system. Takes time to shake off the rust.

I agree that, right now, I think TD is the better QB.

I like the fact that we seem to have a capable backup and that he's got a different skillset, just as TD's different skillset allowed us to pull off those two big wins against NC and NC St. in '18.

Ultimately, I think the Oline play will determine who needs to be playing.

Was Albany coach bent that we tried to score on last play up 38 points?

I guess you and I are in a small group. I completely agree with your points. He has a very calm demeanor and I trust he will not get us into as many 2nd/3rd and longs as we have been overwhelmed with over the last 2 years. The long ball comments by many are accurate but,so far, the only time he has attempted them was when he was off balanced and escaping a sack ( in both games). I’d like to see him chuck one when he is able to set his feet. The one time I recall that happened was the ball he threw to Harris in the Rutgers game and that was a beauty that was knocked away last second.
Anyway, interesting week coming.

No team should worry about what happens if the 4th-5th string guys are out there playing hard. does anyone care if the walkons try to score in bball in a blow out?

You sure you aren’t talking about the throw into triple coverage that was underthrown against Rutgers?

Yes, the underthrown ball into triple coverage. That’s exactly what I mean when I say beauty.

Yeah coaches be like “wow look at the freakish athlete”, you’re on d now young man. Most of those HUDL highlights are from the O side of the ball, but the coaches there lived up to the football adage that you put your best athletes on defense. Man I hope the kid transfers here.
