Some comments:
The voice recognition software is good in a lot of ways, but as the good folks hear have pointed out, it has some drawbacks too. When you type something incorrectly, you usually get jumbled packs of letters that the spell check helpfully points out need to be addressed. When your text comes from this software, you are going to get actual words. If the software isn't sure what you said, it will give it's best shot and you get what you get. Maybe the problem is my
Great Lakes accent. Regionally preferential software. Probably written by someone from Boston or LA.
I tried to review what I typed and correct the problems. The word foul for instance, came out as file seemingly every time I said it. Since there were so many called, this was not cool at all. Anyway, I see now I have to really review what the VR software comes up with. I could end up making a proposal or challenging Mike Tyson to a fight if I am not careful.
For the Cornell game, I had no time to review the My Take. Went to sleep immediately after posting it, drove to Maryland as soon as I woke up and didn't get around to even looking at the reaction to it until Sunday evening. At least this time I tried to clean it up this morning.
The later start does not help things. I think we have a couple of 9 PM games on the schedule this season. If I elect to make my post on those games on gamenight, you might see some really interesting things.
Anyway, some other random things...
1) Cto was featured on the Say Cheese Cam during the Cornell game. They know who the real celebrities are.
2) My favorite student chant of the year so far was "Harvard rejects!". It was repeated for several minutes by the SU students late in the Cornell game, when the game was clearly over. Might have been in response to the Cornell cheerleader who brought a Safety School sign to the SU-Cornell game last year.
3) I have been critical of Dome management for the lack of diversity in the food and drinks available. Not sure how long this has been happening, but the stand where the Burger King used to be (it is behind section 121 I think, in the Northeast corner of the Dome, the corner closest to Hendricks Chapel), offers a variety of Saranac beers, as well as chicken tenders, sweet potato fries and onion rings. One of my friends had the chicken tenders and pronounced them very good. 2 of my crew had Saranac Pale Ales and gave them a solid thumbs up. Another person in my section said the sweet potato fries were good. And my nose tells me that the onion rings might be very good as well.
