NBA Thread 2021-22 Season

Put Rudy on the Mavs or GSW.

I'm not a super fan of Rudy, but Mitchell is in for a world of hurt without Gobert manning the center spot.

For the Mavs, if I were Utah, I'd ask for Brunson (sign and trade) and Powell for Gobert (not sure if that's doable just like that, but you get my drift).
If the Jazz do trade Rudy, it's going to get ugly and it's not going to be a situation Mitchell will want to be a part of long-term anyway. Rudy's not perfect but he singlehandedly glosses over a whole lot of issues with that roster. Take that away and they'll be turrible, regardless of what they get back.

That foul was way worse than green’s and because he was ejected they had no choice there. Unfortunate.

Warriors just not making normal 3s. They could surely reel off like 12 straight pts though.

I don’t truly care until it’s Warriors-Suns,

I’m watching Rangers-Penguins.

Memphis is battling. They are resilient. Unfortunately GS is playing badly especially shooting and they are tied.

Klay and Steph with some sleep walking plays tonight.

Expect them to get their acts together to close this.

Memphis must win game and Morant played elite, but GS should be really upset with how they played. It wasn’t well.

Two legacies that I think can take a significant step forward in this playoffs are Erik Spoelstra and Steph Curry.

I feel like a lot of people (which I know isn't fair) simply consider Spoelstra to be a guy who was fortunate enough to have Lebron fall into his lap and he just had to get out of the way. But he went to the Finals in 2020, and if he takes the Heat back again and possibly even wins it all, you really have to consider him to be one of the better coaches of all-time. He's already fourth in league history in playoff wins.

With Curry, obviously he's a historically great player regardless of what happens, but if the Warriors win it all this year, I think you have to start grouping him together with players like Kobe and Duncan.

I don’t know.. spoelstra is highly regarded within basketball circles as a hall of fame level coach with nothing to prove. As far as average Joe blow dude who thinks stars mean you automatically win, their opinion doesn’t matter

Klay does not look good to me. They are going to have some interesting choices in the coming years.

His shots, or maybe it’s his effort, looked to lack a certain intensity last night. I wonder if the Poole thing is a bigger issue than it appears.

Some scrub(not Draymond) should Oakley Dillon Brooks in game 3. Thought that was dirtier than any of the other flagrants I have seen in the playoffs.

I’m 11 years older than Mad Dog, I’m one of those people he’s talking about who’s been watching the NBA for 60 years, but give me Draymond, give me Ja, spare me the old white guy bullsheeeet. I’m on Team JJ and his takes all day.
I still remember watching and hating Redick with a passion at Duke. It's really cool to see and hear someone prove all my preconceived notions completely wrong. I think someone mentioned this before but he is really insightful on his podcast as well.
