NBA Thread 2021-22 Season

Which of these guys would you rather have long term?

Jordan Poole
Tyrese Maxey
Tyler Herro

Maxey. Love what he’s doing.
I keep going back and forth. Earlier in the season I thought Jordan Poole was the modern John Starks. His improvement throughout the season has been impressive.

I liked Maxey more early. I think he would be better without Harden next to him.

No dog in the fight between Boston and Milwaukee but smart should have had 3 FT… what was infuriating was the most moronic thing I’ve ever heard hubie brown say ( and that’s saying something) he said “smart was in the air but whether or not he could have gotten the shot over the defenders arm is questionable “

What are you talking about old man ? The standard of whether or not it’s a shooting foul or not has ZERO to do with the likelihood of the shots success ..why are broadcasters worse at their job than anyone in any profession ? WHY !!

I feel like that kind of play is exactly what they’ve attempted to rule as a non-shooting foul all year but there’s a long list of missed calls in this game that either fan base can go back to if they want to complain anyways and given how close the score was, any one call changing could have changed the outcome.

Obviously a ton of good looks that were missed in this one as well. Tatum, Smart, and Jaylen combined to go 2/15 from 3. Jrue alone went 3/10 and outside of Connaughton, the Bucks’ spot up shooters went 2/10. It was one of those games where both teams probably should have scored a lot more than they did based on the looks they were generating.

Regardless if you think it was or was not a shooting foul , whether he “could get the shot over the defenders arms” got nothing to do with whether it is or is not

Maxey, for me.

Anyone that gets to play with Steph has a fundamentally different floor geometry than other people.

I like Poole, but I don’t know what he looks like if you swap him and Maxey.

To be clear, I think they’re all good players, tho. Wish the Knicks had any of them.

Without looking, didn't Poole really go off when Steph was out? (Not disagreeing with the premise at all, btw.)

That’s fair. And true.

Maybe I’m showing too much bias towards Steph.

I like watching the Warriors. More than any team I recall, they seem to really feed off each other's success.
Love or hate Draymond, he is easily among the top 5 smartest players in the NBA with regard to understanding the game and seeing the floor.
It also seems to me that they like playing for Kerr and that he is a really good coach. I know he has great players, but his offensive system, they way they defend, the managing of egos, and keeping the message fresh so he doesn't get tuned out, is impressive.

100% agreed with that lol. That’s dumb.

Steve Kerr is falling into a bad file for me. The I didn't see it comment seems weak on the Ja issue. Kerr opened the code box, dont shy away now. Also I think Steph and Ja have some angst hidden as part of the game interaction

Hopefully Ja is ok, but that wasn’t intentional. Poole was going for the ball. The zapruder like replays these days to determine what is and isn’t a flagrant is a bit much for me these days.

Can’t handle an L for nothing. Lost by 25 and have to try and create a false narrative that the other team cheated or something.

These new kids are some bitches.

The headlines are the refs in the Celtics-Bucks series, and “he hurt me on purpose” in Warriors-Grizz.

I’m watching more hockey than I am these dramatic pansies. Play better or get off the court.

Also, while there’s a great argument to be made that Smart was fouled…..that horrific shot selection having brick layer was playing to draw a foul on a horrible shot that wouldn’t have went in anyway…..so I don’t care that much. Hate that guy’s scrubby game. Stop trying to game the refs.

Boston lost because Tatum got shut down by a guy who was washed 5 years ago.

Not surprising that the geek NBA coach who didn’t even play college hoops would have his squad acting like this. He’s a punk for this.

They got beat by 30. If Golden State doesn’t turn it over 15 times in the first half it would have been a lot worse. They may want to try to play some defense. That was a layup drill last night.
