I will say that with the number of NY transplants in the Carolina's it is not a far fetched moniker that NC is really Southern NY
I live in a suburb of Charlotte and on my block alone there is myself, a guy Rochester, one from Buffalo, a lady from New Paltz, and another guy from Ogdensburg
They can't wait for JB to retire so our program can sink to the level of our football program.

They sound terrified. No self respect. No confidence. Must come from all the years of losing.Wow, check out this thread. These guys STILL haven't gotten over our basketball game in Raleigh last December. (just copy/paste url and remove the space between s and c)

What part of Charlotte are you in. There is no doubt that there are a ton of transplants from NY in the charlotte area. There was a group of 30 that I went with to the SU vs NCSU. It was a good time.
We live in Ft Mill. I took the wife (both of us grew up in CNY) and kids (3 yr old twins) to the game in Raleigh as well. We stayed at an Embassy Suites or Double Tree (one of those indoor atrium hotels) and it was overrun with SU fans. We are going to be a traveling orange swarm with 7 ACC schools within a 4hr drive of Charlotte.
I don't know that Hop can be as good as JB - but his recruiting ability along with the fact we have a huge travelling fan base for basketball (UNC, Duke, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio State, Michigan State and then us probably), the biggest basketball stadium in the country and some of the best training facilities in the country lead me to think that we will always be good. We're like the giant football programs that will always be attractive to top recruits. There may be some drop off, but I'd say the worst we would be would be like the majority of teams from 1997-2008.
Hey, I'm with you. Those were their words, not mine.
As Tom will attest, they probably would not have liked me at the BET this past year. Even I realized that I was a . But so is life in guess. They sound terrified. No self respect. No confidence. Must come from all the years of losing.

I live in Raleigh. They suffer from little brother syndrome. Everyone always talking about UNC and Duke, while they are always jumping and screaming for attention.
Sounds like rutgers.
