I don’t think it’s hard to understand why being up by 2 touchdowns (sans 1 XP) is better than being up a field goal and touchdown. One requires at least 40 more yards of offense

and I don’t think it’s hard to understand that if you get a first down the game is over and you don’t have to play defense again
