QBs at this level have been running 2:00 drills since they were 12. He should know better.

Either he is too easily rattled, unfocused because of some other issue or poorly coached.

How people are defending Devitos play is baffling to me. Not talking about him as a person here just his straight up ability to lead a team, decision making, toughness, filed awareness and ability to move the chains. I certainly don’t wish injury on anyone but I hope what i see is him playing with an injury like broken ribs or something. If not, very concerned

Announcers said both Dino and a receiver ripped TD on sidelines after one of his decisions to eat the ball.

But if Dino was ripping into him for the same reason, why would Taj be benched for that?

The problem was not Devito. The problem was:

The oline does not know how to move quickly without incurring a penalty

The oline does not know how to pick up a blitz

Babers is too slow to utilize the 5-7 yard passing game. By the time he gets there in a game it's too late

He blew up at Devito and was benched. Which is what I wanted to post about. Dino has to keep this team together. Moments like this can fracture a locker room and the last thing they need is poor off field chemistry.

The Syracuse University Offensive Line is..... Vettorello and Alexander should not be out there. Servais has been beaten many many times this year very badly, tonight he got pushed right back into DeVito several times. Adams on one of the bad sacks where multiple NC St. defenders made it to DeVito, he did not block anyone and then turned his back to the line so he was facing DeVito and then just stopped. You seriously have to ask what have they been recruiting???????????? If this is the best five, we are sunk for the next four to five years. The above mentioned are bad, really bad. Then the question begs to be asked how bad must the others be. Only reasonable answer is really really really get your quarterback killed and running back negative yardage rushing bad. It does not get any worse than that and that my friends kills any forward progress in your program. I shook my head on Monday when the depth chart for NC State came out and I saw no changes in the offensive line. That's when I realized 3-9 is a real possibility. Too bad because for a while, the program was picking up steam. This year to date has been a ginormous disappointment from the entire program. All involved have allowed the nay sayers to be correct in saying 2018 was a flash in the pan. Not Good.

Ability to move the chains? He had 300 yards passing on 29/39. Averages 7.7 per completion. There are a lot of things wrong with this team and Devito has his deficiencies, but he is not why they lost tonight. If he got sacked five times instead of 10 it may have made a world of difference.

DeVito is part of the problem.

The entire offense is a disaster. Every facet.

I never, ever, ever would have thought we’d lose a game in year 4 of the Babers era where we only give up 16 points.

Something is terribly wrong, and no one, player or coach, escapes blame.

Bear and Cisco yes, Iffy can't, he already red shirted. Would have to be a medical and those aren't so easy anymore.

Simply reading box score stats simply does not tell even close to the whole story. In fact, this season they might be some of the most misleading ever. It's a very interesting dynamic actually.

I watched the game. When he had time to make the quick passes and find an open guy he did that. I didn't think he threw for that many yards.

I disagree. Plenty of times it did not happen. I also didn't expect 300.

Devito makes bad decisions.

8 sacks, 11 tackles for a loss and at least 6 FS/IM penalties. Our offensive line play is why we lost the game.

Our coaches can not be unaware. Either the scheme or the personnel need to change. I would rather roll out every play and give Tommy a good window to throw than watch that disaster another week. If Heckel was the key and we are not getting him back, desperate times call for desperate measures.

TD just needs time to grow into the role and make better decisions. The offensive line penalties are getting horrendous. If you are going to go fast you better make dang sure the entire offense is on the same page

He’s had 2-1/2 seasons now. How much time? Isn’t he 21 already? You knew ED had “it” the first time he walked on the field. I haven’t seen “it” yet, save for Carolina last year, and even then he threw an INT, but was bailed out by the ineptitude of Fedora.

I’m all in for grad transfer competition, because this shows no signs of getting better, so far.

I just saw that and I don't buy it for a second. Dino has the keep it in the house mantra and I think that applies here.
