Ummm. He’s played like that for most of the season. Not a big deal, this was Quadir's Super Bowl.

We’re making jokes. It’s best to laugh through this sadness.Ummm. He’s played like that for most of the season.
Yea absolutely.. I agree. But I think he has potential to hoop as wellI’m certain that he’s playing hoops because that was one of his demands to sign with SU.
His value is in football and he should spend his time focused on that. If he wants to sit on the bench and goof around in practice for hoops he’s welcome to.
Didn’t look bad at all in the first halfWe played better than I expected.
Meh. The last minute or two of the half were good but we started the game terribly yet again.Didn’t look bad at all in the first half
I hope we don’t so red is relieved earlierHonestly people need to start worrying if we are even going to make the ACC tourney…I’m being dead serious
Yeah, and the Titanic would have sunk a slower if the iceberg was a little smaller. Neither scenario would change the end result. At least he got us 17 points, which is more than 3 of the other starters combined, or the entire bench combined.
We would have lost by more, and been behind by 20 a lot sooner without JJ at least trying to score.
A good coach could get these guys to play defense. This team doesn't hustle at all. Look at how they move on offense. They just go through the motions with no urgency, no hard cuts, jogging through everything. Same with a lot of them on defense. They dont move their feet with well, they dont stay low, they dont put their hands up, they dont go hard for rebounds, etc.Another second half disgrace.
-if you don’t count Kingz, we do not have a guard on the roster who can play a lick of defense. And none of our guards can shoot from the outside or distribute the ball to get other guys good looks. Alex Kline skates, but that has to be on him to some extent.
-we also have very little rebounding, which is demonstrated when we use our pathetic zone.
-the selfish shot selection is getting worse and will continue to do so with every loss. George was clearly looking to score from jump and repeatedly took shots that had no chance of success. He drives into the lane at 6 feet with absolutely no chance of scoring. And JJ doesn’t do anything other than hunt for points. We have guards with no interest in distributing nor any ability to do so. I have no idea what Kiyan is bringing to the table at this point. He’s shooting is abysmal and his defense is even worse.
-he isn’t perfect, but Donnie played his tail off tonight. He was rebounding by himself and had nobody help him get easy baskets. There were times when he had a huge size advantage and JJ and George ignored him. He was also picking his guy up full court, which makes no sense and our coaches should not be using his energy on that. It’s like asking Jesse Edwards to cover corner threes from the middle of the zone.
-I’ve reached the level of acceptance, but that doesn’t make me feel any less disgusted.
I didn’t see that part..Meh. The last minute or two of the half were good but we started the game terribly yet again.
Don’t threaten me with a good time.Honestly people need to start worrying if we are even going to make the ACC tourney…I’m being dead serious
Precisely. While JJ was busy scoring in the second half the lead literally got bigger and bigger. He was 7 for NINETEEN with zero boards and assists. His +/- was atrocious. He stunk.Yeah, and the Titanic would have sunk a slower if the iceberg was a little smaller. Neither scenario would change the end result.
You're assuming they are teaching. I envision practices are scrimmages and drills where Red is cheer8ng them on and Griffin has an Effort meter like the (fake) crowd decibel meter in the Dome that goes from 1 to 5 and he yells out the readings as they go.No more JJ excuses this team might end up with a losing record, and there is a lot more talent this year. The only common factor is JJ, and Red not making him into a team player. In 3 years you would think JJ would have learned from Red and Griff how to set his teammates up to shoot.
And he hasn't learned anything.
bc the fans are being mean to them and to redI totally agree with you but I just don't get it. How can someone work so hard to be a DI basketball player, spend hours and hours working out and practicing and then play half heartedly in front of thousands of people?
I'm looking forward to seeing what hire an unshackled Wildhack can finally make for this program.Remember NC St fired Keets a year after a final four run
i agree 100%One note for this thread is that I’m really bummed how this season is playing out bc I think this roster has guys that are easy to root for.
I think Donnie is immensely talented. I love William Kyle. I like the guys on the team.
Even if JJ drives me nuts, I think he’s a good dude.
I can go on, but you get the point.
It’s really too bad. Seems like a good crew of guys. Lot of potential. Lot of individual talent that just isn’t harnessed correctly.
Nait has been awful. I know he's a human being first. Still awfulClearly we have no offense, so it’s impossible to do anything, but Nait George has been without a doubt our worst starter this season
And plenty of games where it looks like there’s no effort.Nait has been awful. I know he's a human being first. Still awful
