I think we match up well with Houston too. But WVU will be a massive challenge

I like our chances more against WVU than Houston. Houston is the best offensive rebounding team in the country, tenacious on defense and have a few guys that can hurt us from the three.

SIGH. I chose Illinois to win the whole thing, mainly because they have beaten so many good teams, more than Gonzaga has.

the committee and lunardi overvalue this metric and basically the rankings now seem to only care about this but it doesnt mean as much as they think it does.

they do this to the mid majors all of the time. Kinda the reverse to what they did to wichita state a few years ago when they made Kentucky an 8 seed.

Despite their metrics I felt VT got screwed too. They were ranked were they not? Never saw a ranked team a 10 seed.

Given the ACC's performance it doesn't feel so bad in hindsight.

A lot of speculation about Moser. My brother went to Loyola, knows the situation well. Said it will be very tough to get Moser out of Loyola. Moser bought a house from the Cubs owner (Ricketts), was re-upped after 2018, his daughter goes to Loyola, he loves Chicago etc etc.

The Big 12 has high seeds across the board minus Oklahoma. They have been better than the BIG but I'm curious how they do in round 2 (or round 3 whatever the hell we call it).

At the end of the day the 3rd best team in the country can’t lose this game even if Loyola should have been seeded a line or two higher. Put up or shut up

Close game vs Mizzou and Okie State had their hands full as well so it could have gone differently to be fair too. Kansas had to come back vs EWU too.

Obviously they did their job to survive and advance but they weren't dominant in any way. That is why I think second round will be more telling.
