Obviously this is trivial compared to what is going on right now, but a couple of things. I think the worst thing for the NCAA would be for Syracuse to make it to the Final Four or win the national championship. I think if we are at the end of the season what we are now, we are going to be given a really tough road to the final four. The last thing the NCAA wants is this story taking over the conversation during their highest rated event. Dont expect the refs to do us any favors either.
This team is going to really feel the heat on the road, if they can rally together we have a chance to do something special. If we win it all I really dont expect recruiting to take too much of a hit.

I dunno about that - lots of articles about no bowl wanting Penn State, and there were a lot of questionable calls early against Wisconsin that made me wonder if the Big Ten reeeeaaalllyyy wanted to make sure PSU didn't make the first championship game.

The seniors will be called on to lead this team through these tough and ridiculous times. Scoop and Joseph are much more capable than Boeheim right now. Here's to hoping they can rally the troops and play well for each other.

In another thread it was posted that KJo is talking about video games on Twitter this morning lol. For real, as an athlete my whole life, this wouldnt bother me. Bernie Fine didnt recruit any of these guys, he hasnt recruited anyone in like decades. Hopkins and Autry are probably closer to these players than even JB.

They're college guys. They are spending most of their non-hoops time thinking about getting laid. At least they should be.

There should be nothing taken away from the players at this point, or ever. What has happened is solely separate from the kids competing. If there were PEDs or recruiting $$$, then you can discount the players.

They can strip a title from the record books, but they cannot perform lobotomies. The elation of winning a championship far outweighs revisionist history. Don't worry about the tournament. If the players act properly they may be viewed by the general public as a group worthy of admiration. In no way can they be held responsible for the Fines. Look an SU road game in the Big East is always ugly. What would be interesting would be a trip to Cameron to see if the Duke fans came up with something tasteful yet sharp. Those fans can be pretty smart.
