Well at least he is right about who the call was on.
This guy seems to know what he's talking about. It was the right call.
I don't understand how some of you can stick up for Boeheim and then attack Jimbo Fisher in this context. I like both, I think they're both class act, caring coaches who are father figures for their players. What do you want from him and if you root for Syracuse Basketball, its kind of a throwing stones in glass houses situation.
Oh come on. That play is run 100 times a game. Go watch some more hockey.
They weren't 3-59. I didn't say they were close or even memorable. We didn't get our doors blown off. The yards in those games were 429-523 and 412-482. That tells you how the games went physically. We lost by 16 and 18, respectively, (which in this era isn't bad for an unranked team vs. a top ten team) because of lost opportunities. if we'd taken full advantage of them, we would have thrown a scare into either team.
Yes. we lost by moderate scores to two top ten teams and gained enough yardage to have made those games even closer than they were, (423 and 412). We just didn't take advantage of our opportunities.
so ND just gave those turnovers had nothing to do with SU? What about all the mistakes SU made?Just want to keep it real here, SWC. ND had numerous TOs in the red zone and gave up a pick six as well. They should have beat SU by 30, minimum.
To me Jimbo Fisher is a loathsome character. He answers five different questions from Tom Rinaldi after the game and never once bothers to give any credit to the opponent who came in to his house and played his team to a standstill. Then he starts talking about how FSU does things the right way- nearly choked on my vomit when I heard that. He's a POS and his team would get beat by double digits by four teams in the SEC West.

True. We didn't lose by 50. But neither was that great. I mean nd gave us the ball...what...5 times and we still lost by 16. I get your point though

LOL
SU got those turnovers on the SU 43, the SU 36, the SU 28, the SU 15 and the ND 24. Four were in SU territory but only one in the Red Zone.
Compare the ND and FSU losses to these from last year:
Northwestern: Down 7-34 at halftime, we did come back to make it respectable at 27-48 and were out-gained 434- 581 yards.
Clemson: 7-35 at halftime, we lose 14-49 and were out-gained 397-624
Georgia Tech: 0-28 at halftime, lost 0-56, out-gained 208-482.
Florida State: 0-38 at halftime, lost 3-59, (and that was the third quarter score), We were out-gained 247-543.
And that was a 7-6 team that won a bowl game.
This year:
Notre Dame: 3-14 at halftime, 15-31 final. Yards: 429-523
Florida State: 6-24 at halftime, 20-38 final, (14-14 second half), yards 412-482.
And this is a 3-5 team with 10 guys out who have started a game this year.
I think it suggests improvement.
not saying it was but all those mistakes are part of the game and it was a lot closer than I thought it would be. I am not one of those people who say well if this didn't happen we would of won or blown them out all the plays count.Dude if you want to keep thinking that the SU/ND game was close and very competitive then go right ahead. It wasn't.
