His rep was built at a factory. All we can do is judge what he’s done here. The defense did not exonerate him this year, played a huge role in 2 of the 3 losses, and most of the board wanted him tatted and feathered in half of the game chats.
McCord’s magic is the only reason we are trying to paint ERob’s 1st year in a positive light.
Take that a step further. McCord is the reason that we put Fran's season in a positive light. Coin flips both ways. Without Kyle, what are we ...6-6 at best. You said yourself that the measure whether someone is good on defense is are they all conference. Well, he had one guy that was good enough to be 3rd team all conference. And the standard for how good someone is or isn't at their job is not what is said on our chat room. Thank God.

What!! What is wrong with Syracuse Fans? We won 9 games and going to a bowl with a chance to win 10.....and people are complaining about our coaching staff! McCord had an aawesome season and was the reason we had the season we had. If there is no Fran Brown, there is No McCord...end of story. As for E Rob, we won 9 games!! Is he a great defensive coordinator? We won 9 games with a chance to win 10 and a bowl! Why can't Syracuse fans be happy with that? What is wrong with Y'all?

Coach E Rob 's defense was part of a team that won 9 games with a chance to win 10 and a bowl win. Why isn't that enough for a fan base that suffered through what we have gone through the past 15 years?

The D scheme was a complete overhaul from the 3-3-5. It requires different types of players. Hence the size they recruited at DL and LB. They had to do the best with the hand they were dealt. Let's not forget injuries to wax, tank, Jobity amongst others.
A couple things seems clear-
1.) The MCCORD decision is impacting what the staff can do in the portal.
2.) The staff is committed to player development. That's why they're incoming class is so big.
As far as the portal goes. We have been involved on players but lost them to other schools. Some of which committed before the scheduled visit to CUSE. Aj Pena is a name to watch over the next day or so. Seems like it's down to CUSE and Nebraska. He will be an instant impact LB. There's a lot of comments thinking we need help in the secondary - yes, we lost guys but it's the deepest position group on the team. Fran knows secondary and how to develop talent. Marcus Washington is a name everyone forgets and incoming freshman Demetres Samuels and Singleton are capable of playing day 1.
If Mccord comes back, I think Lequint does too. That will leave the need for an OT and EDGE AS Priority.
Also, the Diego Pavia verdict opens a possible door for J'onre Reed and Jacob Bradford - something to keep an eye on!

Yes that made the defense much better when the both played together.

I’d be more comfortable if we had a run stopping lb with experience and a proven cover corner like Lewis. Those are the 2 glaring needs to me. Assuming reed and McCord come back
