Nerlens wasn't around for Monday's UK visit

They were showing them some potential new homes, House Hunters style. And, of course, getting the direct deposit info for his parents.

He was in miami with some guy that gtown fans are saying is an su fan, steering him to us

maybe didnt want to be around when cash payment was made-- ala cam newton

it's called the Kentucky Two Step - it allows the player to maintain plausible deniability when the actual dollar figures are being discussed

It's sad that this is probably true.

No way this would happen on an in-home. The money that would flow to a recruit would never be discussed or have any transactions taken place during an in home with a university representative present.

It doesn't matter if Noel is there. Who cares? He takes some money and goes to the NBA anyway.

UK is the one that needs to stay clean. No way an official rep is at the table for this.

I really hope this isnt what Jake referred to as "shenanigans".

Didnt someone else tweet we met with NN yesterday? Borzello says meeting is today. Still think this is good news for us, although the weirdness of the UK in home freaks me out a bit.

I'm sorry if I sound dumb, but are they really saying this or am I lost on this joke??

Syracuse has an in-home visit with Nerlens Noel and family today. Kentucky had an in-home with family on Monday, but Noel wasn't present.

That's pretty funny. They didn't want him present because a brief case full of cash exchanged hands?

When he picks Kentucky it'll be interesting to see where Mom becomes employed.

A very well connected and GREAT Source passed this info onto me regarding the "mysterious" Cuse interest with Noel. Funny how a few exchanges and info get passed and you can uncover a bit more then what it appears.

Errol Randolph, the guy profiled in the Pete Thamel article on Noel as a substitute teacher at Everett HS (Nerlens original HS) and quoted as saying, "Nerlens marches to the beat of his own drummer", helped place Nerlens at Tilton.

Seems harmless right? Well Mr. Randolph who is a lifelong Syracuse fan just happened to accompany Nerlens to his visit to Syracuse for the UConn game this year, happens to live in Miami now--and is a "self employed talent evaluator/scout". Didn't Nerlens happen to take a trip down to Miami this weekend for...??? Interesting the in-homes are taking place this week and field is getting narrowed down and low and behold Nerlens just happens to hop down to Miami to get away--and sure it's just a minor coincidence that Mr. Randolph happens to live down there.

Wonder how Pete Thamel didn't dig this info up for a further update of the recruitment, since he was hellbent on trying to imply dirt with CAA and Calipari---or is Syracuse above any wrongdoing? Not like they have had any issues arise lately is it?

No they are implying we are up to our own shenanigans. Some poster goes all Sherlock Holmes in a 5 paragraph post.

They are telling the poster to contact Pat Forde with his story lol

Same guy who posted that story on the G'town board is on CatsIllustrated posting a thread telling all the UK fans his story.

Oof, he's tweeting back and forth with Goodluck, too? And MCW?

Fingers crossed this doesn't bite us.

Well if Calipari's involvement with CAA and World Wide Wes goes unnoticed or at the very least noone cares about it then I highly doubt how a Syracuse superfan who is connected to NN is a problem.

This doesn't sound so good to me. Not sure I want Thamel doing any more looking. Its one thing for a friend of his to root for SU and hope he goes there, it's obviously another thing to be steering kids to us. I don't know, maybe that's what happens everywhere, just sounds shady... right??
