(Add each team’s offensive rebounds to their opponent’s defensive rebounds. Then figure the offensive rebounds as a percentage of that)
We rebounded 10 of our 38 misses = 26.3%
They rebounded 10 of their 33 misses = 30.3%

Effective Offensive Rebounding
(Divide second chance points by the offensive rebounds)
We got 0 points on 10 O-Rebs = 0.000 points/O-reb
They got 11 points on 10 O-Rebs = 1.100 points/O-reb

Unforced Turnovers
(Total turnovers – the other team’s steals = unforced turnovers)
We had 13 turnovers – 7 steals = 6 unforced
They had 18 turnovers – 8 steals = 10unforced

Points per Takeaway
(Points off turnovers divided by the number of turnovers the other team had)
We had 22 points from 18 takeaways = 1.222 points/takeaway
They had 15 points from 13 takeaways = 1.154 points/takeaway

Unsettled Situations
(Effective offensive rebounding + Points per Takeaway: [Second Chance Point + Points off Turnovers] divided by [Offensive Rebounds + Opposition Turnovers)
We had 22 points in 28 unsettled situations = 0.786 points
They had 26 points in 23 unsettled situations = 1.130 points

Manufactured Possessions
(One teams rebounds + the other team’s turnovers)
We had 33 + 18 = 51

We had 10 PIP, 30 POP, 24 TREY, 6 TZ, 22 POTO, 4 FBP
They had 22 PIP, 33 POP, 27 TREY, 6 TZ, 15 POTO, 6 FBP

Fast Break Percentage

They scored 6 FBP in 37 opportunities (16.2%)

First Chance/Second Chance
(FCP is First Chance Points, which is total points - second chance points – fast break points – free throws made. SCP is second chance points.)
We had 36 FCP and 0 SCP
They had 38 FCP and 11 SCP

Last Possessions
(Points scored on the last full possession of a half, a game or an overtime period.)

They assisted 14 of their 23 field goals = 60.9%

Team Offensive Possession Efficiency
(Possessions: Field goals attempted - offensive rebounds + turnovers + 47.5% of free throws attempted. Efficiency is total points divided by possessions)
We scored 62 points in 67 possessions = 0.925 points/ possession
They scored 68 points in 67 possessions = 1.015 points/possession
It was a 134 possession game.

Team Shooting Efficiency

(Points minus missed field goals and free throws)

We scored 62 points, missed 32 field goals and 12 missed free throws = net 18

Breakdown by Quarters
(Points scored between the beginning of the game and the 10 minute mark of the first half, then halftime, then the 10 minute mark of the second half, the end of regulation and then overtime of there was one)

(Two point shots and free throws attempted per times fouled.)
We attempted 26 two point shots, attempted 34 free throws and were fouled 25 times = 1.04; 1.36
They attempted 24 two point shots, attempted 20 free throws and were fouled 17 times = 1.41; 1.18;
We were more likely to get calls when attempting two point shots and got more free throws out of it when we were fouled.

- I was amazed that we had 10 offensive rebounds in this game. That’s bene a sore spot in recent games and looked especially so in this one. But we got three of them on the alst possession and never scored.

- We had 0 ….ZERO…second chance points. They had 11 off the same number of offensive rebounds. And we lost by 6.

- We hit 36% of our threes to 34% (but had one less), 65% from the free throw line to 65%, (but, for all our troubles outscored them by 9 fro9m the line). We lost this game on two point shots. We were 8 for 26, (30.8%) to 14 for 24 (58.3%). We don’t often lose games inside but we lost this one there.

- Along the same lines, we got outscored in the paint 10-22. When have you ever seen SU with only 10 points in the paint.
