Never been so angry.

It's simple. Do what I did and marry an SU girl who likes sports.

Thats what i did. My wife would sit through a 17 inning baseball game.

As a lifelong baseball player...I don't think theres anything much more heart warming and attractive than a girl who can sit and enjoy baseball.

Such a beautiful game.

And another thing. Reading some of the replies. How can anyone who calls themselves a sports fan marry a woman who hates sports?? Jesus that was the first question i asked when dated. If the answer was no. Cya!

Maybe agnostic is the better word. Works out just fine though. And while there are certainly plenty of girls who enjoy sports lets be honest in that its not a 1 to 1 ratio out there.. so if the rest of the juice is worth the squeeze its all good

I will say every time ive taken my wife to a sports event she has a blast and doesnt complain.. wont watch it on tv but gets into it live... so yeah hate is the wrong word.

Asti is my fave Italian restaurant in Syracuse. Anyone else like it? Normally eat there at least once when I am in town.

It was funnier when Bill Simmons wrote it 10 years ago, dude.

I'll have to try it, maybe take the lady there.

My fav Italian restaurant used to be Aunt Josie's. As with everything else, it has passed. I'll have to try Asti.

I have taken two different girls on dates to Asti's... one is now my wife. Bam. 50% of the time Asti's works 100% of the time (with bits of Panther).

I understand now.

The food is very good. The service is very weird.

And, yes, the funniest part about this is Pastabilities - do locals eat there? I thought it was just for 19-year-old female SU students and tourists who watch the Food Network.

Meh I think it's good and I love Armory Square. We went there because my sister has mononucleosis and my parents wanted to cheer her up before heading back to school. She goes there all the time with her girlfriends. I like the riggies and bread/bread dip

OK, I'll dial down the snark. If she likes it, she likes it. Syracuse has a ton of better (if lower-profile) restaurants, but to each his own.

I can deal with kitty hoynes. Coming from an all italian family i view pastabities one step above olive garden (which is inedible)
In your opinion what are the best Italian restaurants in CNY?

Astis, Atilios (the old Antonios), Francescas used to be good until they changed Chefs. Ricos is solid. Joey's downstairs.

I was impressed with Joey's interior, but not there food. I thought it left much to be desired.

Depends on what you get. Hit or miss. I have eaten there a lot and know what to order.

Back when it started out three brothers ran the place and their mother baked all the pies and deserts. One of the brothers, John Tumino has left the business to cook for the poor. We went there a few years ago and enjoyed the food.

Here is a story about John

How about Santangelo's?

My Italian DIL loves the chicken riggies at Delmonico's.

The atmosphere is spectacular. What dishes would you recommend? It's a nice place I'd like to give another shot.

Atilio's is great. They also run the resturant at my golf club. Excellent menu.

Rico's is one of the best and joey's downstairs might be my in town favorite.
