Never been so angry.

OK, getting it back on point yesterday I'm not going to say who it was but someone I know pulled a big boner. He and his dad were watching the game on TV in their den until that interception. They decided it was time to join the rest of the family at the dinner table. Suddenly a text message came from his mother in North Carolina saying, "Woooooow what a great win for SU!!!"

He thought she was pulling his leg. Fortunately he had the game on his DVR. Everyone grabbed their food and headed to the TV and watched with great excitement.

The atmosphere is spectacular. What dishes would you recommend? It's a nice place I'd like to give another shot.

I usually get a veal dish when I go there or some type of pasts/seafood combination

Asti is my fave Italian restaurant in Syracuse. Anyone else like it? Normally eat there at least once when I am in town.

Definitely imo the best Italian in Syracuse. Fransceca's down the street is right there with them

Astis, Atilios (the old Antonios), Francescas used to be good until they changed Chefs. Ricos is solid. Joey's downstairs.

if you like Italian you should try out Ascotti's just for their meatball mix

My great aunt was an ascotti. Solid place and good meat ball mix but it cant hold a candle to my mothers. Like I said I was spoiled growing up having a mother who was a professional chef.

Asti's is fantastic, I missed it when it had the fire and wasn't open.

Joey's downstairs best dish is the Stuffed Rigatoni's. I love the garlic butter and the Italian bread on the table almost as much as I love the Pasta's bread and hot oil.

That would be my ranking (minus Rico's - a couple problems there). I'd add Anthony's Pasta Bar. Some of their food is excellent.

I have been that angry. I was forced to leave at halftime... of the 98 Va Tech game. I was seething mad as I watched the comeback after we got home. It sucked being 14 years old and having my vote to stay not mean a damn.

Lesson learned though as I never leave before the final whistle which paid off 13 years later vs Wake.

I missed the 98 VaTech game because I had another event I had to go to. The worst was there was no TV or radio - and my ex and her new boyfriend went and then stopped by to tell a mutual friend how amazing it was.

The worst.

All threads on this board of any length eventually become a discussion of on the big three topics of food, beer or women.

LOL -- and there's a problem with that!?

BTW, many fine Italian restaurants mentioned, but no list is complete without Angotti's. A true "family" Italian restaurant. It's like going to Grandma's for dinner.

A buddy of mine's daughter was in town from Pittsburgh with her boyfriend. They all went to the game together. The daughter had to be somewhere before 7 PM. They left in the 4th quarter before all the drama.
That's three sets of people, I alone know, who missed the best part of one of the top 10 Dome games.
