New Roster is up

Chris Bleich checking in at 242 lbs. Probably a little light for an OL. ;)
Looks like Bleich's roster weight has been updated to 342 lbs. Tuazama's stayed at 245 lbs and Munoz at 241 lbs unfortunately. Was hoping they could possibly change too.

Is 342 too big? I suppose if he can move at that weight, then it's fine. Just seems like it's maybe 10-15 lbs more than we're accustomed to.

Was wondering if Bleich has been able to partition since his surgery.

Agreed. I'd think there is plenty of time until the fall to get that weight down some though.

Nice to see Mang is up to 250 already. He was 225 on his highlight video and 230 on 2forty7. We seriously need a TE with some size considering in 2021 we only have him and Benson at the position. And 250 is not all that big considering he is 6'-7". Should easily be able to put on some more though considering he is puting on weight that fast. A 6'-7" athletic 265 lbs TE with good hands would be a nice piece to add to the offense. If Mittal gains any more weight I guess he would need to be moved to TE as well, but 6'-1" is pretty short for a TE.

Bleich and White are playing guard. You'd like to see them maybe slim down a little but guard is a big position. Evan Adams was listed at 352 last year. Davis played in the 330's. Most guards are big.

Luke Benson dropping from 216 to 210 is very peculiar. A possible switch to WR? Even if he got moved to WR i'm not sure that is the way I would want that to go...

I thought a saw a tweet from mang that he was 250 before he enrolled.
I really like mittals size. Would like to know his speed. He is bigger then most of our lbs. I think he could really be a weapon. He will not be held up at the line of scrimmage. He would also be great as a blocker on bubble screens.

I remember him being 210 when he first enrolled. Not sure weight is accurate. However, they could be using him as a bigger sized wr. Bigger then cb or safeties but faster then lb.

Possibly but If that is the plan they better bring in some larger size TE's quickly as Mang will be the only one on the roster in 2021.

Benson went from 210 to 216. If he can put on another 10 w/o losing his speed, watch out. Similarly, if RTB can't get on the field at WR as a Redshirt Junior, would love to see what he could do at TE at 226 pounds. He would be a very tough cover for a LB.

Agree w/ others who believe Elmore would be best utilized at DT, particularly with how few guys we have on the DL with that size. Think he could really help there if he concentrates on it full-time.
Would prefer to give Hackett his snaps on offense, as he is a more complete, versatile offensive player. The Defense knows Elmore is just there to block and if he gets that rare pass, he's not going anywhere at his size.

What about Maher. I know he was around 225 but I It’s possible he is up to 235 or 245 by 2021 season.
Ahh Yes. I forgot about Maher somehow. That definitely makes me feel quite a bit better.

Seeing this seemingly positive news I'm like..

Using a weight of 280 as a baseline, from a quick perusal of this roster it seems like Williams (283), Black (277), and Harper (292) are the only ones with suitable weight (at this point) to play defensive tackle ...and Black barely making weight at that. I am not including Elmore on this list. Let him stay at fullback.

There are 2 players that might push to make a reasonable defensive tackle weight by fall: Rondi (269), and Okechukwu (268). There's one other player at playing weight, but looks like a walk on (Kevon Darton 287)

This tells me that Black should in no way, shape, or form, be moved to defensive end. He is going to be too valuable as a rotation player with McKinley. Some will probably argue that this is Black's last year and he shouldn't be relegated to the second line, but that means Harper better be ready or Rondi makes another weight jump by fall

I asked Bailey that in a chat before the season. He said Caleb and his family weren't ready for the story to be public. Hopefully, a clean bill of health and an prominent role on the defense make it an awesome comeback story.

The staff does a remarkable job of keeping family business in house.

It was obvious something was very wrong, and I feared what it could be. His tweet sounds encouraging.

You'd think that Elmore to DT would be a no-brainer. If he's a necessary part of the offense, that just points to the deficiency of the OL.

Or that they are happy with the DT play and think he had more value as a blocker?
