i did have a chuckle at steve infanti saying "has remained closely connected with SU since being selected in the 1st round of the '02 Draft."

I believe you mean he has remained closesly connected to Will Hicks, but until Fran got here, he was not around thanks to the old regime.
To be fair, there were 4 regimes between his time and Fran.

He won’t be hitting up Rob Konrad anytime soon

I thought i read that Konrad made a donation recently, after that bad incident on social media a few months ago.

They should put this picture in the locker room.

If we had landed Vick, SU has the most exciting and dominant offensive and defensive players in the country, and wins the NC. SU FB history is changed forever.
Yep. Brown, Mungro, Reyes, Ferri over lapping. Bunch of solid FB’s, OL was solid. Spot, MJack, Tyree, Morant overlapping. Offense would have been good with Vick

National Title would have been a very real possibility had Vick committed. Aside from Julius Hodge another top five of mine most disappointing not gets for us at the time

But "Michael Vick is an absolute magician who makes dogs disappear" is not nearly as fun of a fan site.

Czonka, coughlin and more are at the dome today too. Fran literally could not be doing a better job of looking back while looking forward at the same time. Keep this up my Fran!
Czonka is rarely even mentioned as a “Cuse guy” because he didn’t wear 44 and has not been around the program visibly. I have autographed Cuse stuff, (balls, helmets, etc) from lots of guys, but no Zonk stuff available (that I have seen). Most college football fans over 50 know Jim Brown and Ernie Davis went to Cuse, but most still have no idea Zonk did.

Him attending a real game would be like Melo for hoops. Hope he comes back More often.

Look if you really are over 50 and don't remember Czonka, and Jim Nance, how much of a fan were you? I'm going to be 79 in July, and they both were a part of my youth.

He had over 1100 yards in the season for the only undefeated NFL team - the 1972 Miami Dolphins. However that was almost 53 years ago, before about 2 generations of fans were born. Those alive and old enough to remember back then certainly should remember Larry Csonka from both his SU and NFL Miami Dolphin career. SU and the NFL should help the younger fans to remember - good job by Fran Brown.

I think cuse fans know, but a lot of non-cuse football fans don't remember he played for SU. The lack of TV coverage back then makes it easy to not know a lot of the players outside your team from that era.

I know Czonka was at a spring game a couple years ago signing autographs.
There are some Syracuse signed items that have been sold. I have a signed SU jersey for him.
