FSU is a dumpster fire

I know I just don't think we can go down there and win. FSU has a lot of talent and athletes all over with Milton. I'm still having nightmares about how bad the RU offense was. I think that's the expectation all year with P5 teams (until our O actually shows something.) If there is a P5 team to get it going maybe it is against FSU but they still have athletes all over the field.

Wake might be a rock fight, hard read.

Head says 1-2
Heart says 2-1

3-0. We'll clean up the penalties. Or if we don't, I'll go with SWC's data that more penalties are good luck...in Haiti.

FSU will probably turn things around at some point. I just hope it's not against us.
I think FSU is the same as 3 years ago when all those 4 & 5 star players started pointing fingers at the coaches and mailed it in every game.

We beat Liberty and FSU. I think Wake is going to be tough, but talent is roughly equal (their QB is better than either of ours IMO)

I voted 1-2, I’m hoping for 2-1. I actually think liberty is a W and wake forest. I know fsu is not looking good but the team always struggles away from the dome. Also wake is looking good but Dino seems to have wakes number since he’s been here.

3-0.

QB role will be settled.

Tucker's first Heisman hype video will be done.

Our awesome defense will have some fun but wacky nickname like Orange Tsunami.

OL will be OK. Not great, but ok.

Tight Ends will score multiple TDs.

We'll start talking who can make All ACC (Jones, Duce, Williams, Tucker, Harris).

Then the hype for Clemson will be off the charts with commentators saying, "we know Clemson is the better team, but are we sure Syracuse doesn't have the best player on the field in Sean Tucker and are we sure Duce Chestnut isn't the best true frosh on the field?"

It will come down to penalties and special teams. Fix 'em both? We could go 3-0, but I'll go with 2-1. Don't fix either? We could easily go 0-3, but I'll go 1-2. We'll lose at least 1, with a called back score or 2.

That has happened before with Cuse vs FSU...FSU is hosting Louisville this weekend. UL is about a 2 pt favorite. If UL wins and Cuse wins...I see us around a pick'em vs FSU. FSU at 0-4 or even 1-3 is backs against the wall and I expect we'll get their best and maybe final high effort.

If LVille wins then you can definitely see the FSU season spiral out of control. He lost control of the locker room last year and had camps around the QBs.

Tallahassee Democrat is questioning his job security today and tomahawknation.com already has an article out today about firing him.

He signed a 6 year 26.5 million dollar deal. This is year 2. yikes. They'd owe him 85% and they still owe Taggart 3.5 mill for the next 3 years.

Phat, you might be correct. We'll see what type of effort they give on Saturday.

I'm starting to think it's Urban Meyer or bust for that program.

Could be (fingers crossed) like the Louisville game in the dome when Petrino and his team looked absolutely hapless. (was that 2018? Time flies...)

You might be on to something. They pretty much need a legend to revive it.

It won't be lost on any high profile candidate that one of Jimbo's biggest complaints was the administration's lack of commitment to facilities and infrastructure.

The idea people think Florida State is a dumpster fire and our operation is much better have blind faith.
They will out talent us.

We can beat Wake at home more likely than win at Florida State.

FSU def has more talent than us, no doubt.

I just think that if they lose this weekend, they might be walking zombies for the rest of the year.

They spent a crapton on the Stadium reno...

Tallahassee is not a huge town (smaller than Cuse) and the population bases in Florida are 3+ hours away. They have some challenges...I think they'll be wandering in the forest like VTech and Miami unless they strike lightening in the bottle. Their only saving grace is they still recruit at a high level...for now.

True, but Jimbo did them no favors. He left that OL in such shambles that it wasn't just a lack of talent, it was a lack of coaching and up-skilling. And, I think this will eventually play out at TAMU, I think Jimbo has been over-rated a bit being able to pick up in big time programs and get some runway from what existed.

FSU will still be able to turn things around again with the right coach. That state and that area has too much talent.

The ACC isn't nearly tough enough to keep them beaten down, either.

Given that Miami hasn't been able to re-capture the magic in all this time, will the same thing happen to FSU? Are the SEC teams getting the best players in Florida these days?

I don't know these answers, but it just seems crazy to me that Miami has been so beatable all this time.

Fair point, but I would argue that FSU has consistently been very good to great on a much more consistent basis where Miami just peaked very rapidly at different times.

I am sure Georgia's uptick and Bama's uptick has had an impact, but I think FSU can still be at that next level of recruiting with the right head coach.
