This has been answered multiple times on here and other threads.

McCord is done. He has accepted his bid to the senior bowl.

That means he is leaving.

There is no other option.

He is gone.

For anyone else reading, McCord, is not coming back and is entering the NFL draft.

I’ll say it again, Kyle McCord, will not be playing football at Syracuse next season.

I don’t think accepting a Senior Bowl invite locks him into anything. If he applied and got a year back, nothing would prevent him from changing his mind and not participating in the game.

ESPN had a paywall article that listed 5 teams, SU and UCLA were not on that list. A couple of the programs mentioned IMHO make no sense but what the hell do I know?

Kyle is pretty tight with all the top QBs. Look at who commented on his post game post the other day. Milroe was in there too.

Then again, maybe Fran is using Kyle's insta like they did with Savion Washington's posts last December...

With really good wide receivers, you want someone who can manage his progressions and get the ball to the right person. Our offense would give him, or someone with a similar profile, to give pro scouts something to think about.

The problem with going after Ewers is that Texas could potentially be playing well into January. It would be gutsy to put all of our eggs into that and miss out on others who make their decision sooner...unless the staff know something. Either way, I'm ready for the ride!

That's what the media is putting out there. I would be shocked if McCord falls that far. I'd love to have him back another year, but I'm not counting on it and I am confident he's getting drafted earlier than that (or 31 GMs will regret it).

Wazzou QB is rumored to be entering the portal, that would be the kid I would try and go after, he plays with a ton of heart, and can make all the throws, is he Kyle? no but he would be a great buffer for our younger QBS.

And/Or, stay with me here, they're looking to shine in an offense that highlights their skills and pro potential. I mean, didn't McCord get a payday? He was more of a sure thing than these guys. Doubt that we couldn't afford them, if that's the direction Fran wants to take.

All I will say is if what I heard is true, don't expect a kid who was starting elsewhere to be the portal transfer we bring in. It's not going to be another McCord situation.

Completely agree but they can’t possibly know right now because it’s all so fluid.

IF Jakari is the heir apparent and he's their future then it would make sense to bring in a veteran to compete but be the backup like Johnson. Otherwise they’re going to find the best kid possible, backup or starter. The first portal wave will be the back ups. The second portal wave will be the starters.
