My brother recently moved to Greenville and has become a SC fan and he texts me pretty much every Saturday thanking us for Sellers lol. He's also an Ohio State fan so it's been fun to thank him every week for McCord.Just had a good USC friend call and thank me for LaNorris Sellers. Said you're welcome but we dumped him in favor of Kyle. Lol.
South Carolina belongs in the CFP.
Jackson Arnold is in the portal. That's one to watch with Jeff Nixon's ties to the Dallas area. And the fact that we have a player from Guyer HS on the roster already.
I got some family there and they are the SU fans in the Clemson area Also cudos for getting Clemson in to the playoffs. My brother recently moved to Greenville and has become a SC fan and he texts me pretty much every Saturday thanking us for Sellers lol. McCord got the ball out quickly because he prepared well watching film and knew how to read a defense pre snap. Manning and Brady weren't great because of athleticism or the best arm it's because they were coaches on the field who knew the reads and tendencies so he knew what his cues were to release quickly.McCord really demonstrates the importance of getting the ball out quickly. Especially without a dominant OL. Something every QB we’ve had in recent years has struggled to do. Look at Devito. Great arm. But he just was slow to pull the trigger. Of course some of that was him not having the WRs that McCord has. But still much slower to make his throws.
While I think McCord has a lot to do with this, I also wonder how much of those reads are from the OC talking to the QB now.McCord got the ball out quickly because he prepared well watching film and knew how to read a defense pre snap. QBs who are confused or just not good at knowing what they are doing through smarts and preparation just hold onto the ball too long.
I dont know. While I think McCord has a lot to do with this, I also wonder how much of those reads are from the OC talking to the QB now.
Yeah absolutely not. Would be a worse move than Drew Allen.
A decent portion of our O utilized the RPO game which forced Kyle to get the ball out as quick as possible due to design. However he also consistently made quick reads based on coverages and leverage in the conventional passing game which made him very effective. I’m not sure how much of the latter can be replicated with the next QB depending on who it is but I’m sure the staff has a vision in mind. While I think McCord has a lot to do with this, I also wonder how much of those reads are from the OC talking to the QB now.
Oh speaking of Drew Allen, he just threw another pick against NorthwesternYeah absolutely not. Would be a worse move than Drew Allen.
What I was saying is how much easier were those reads having the OC in his ear up till each snap? Were those pre snap reads all Kyle? 75%? 50%? 25%?A decent portion of our O utilized the RPO game which forced Kyle to get the ball out as quick as possible due to design. I thought the communication was cut off before the snapWhat I was saying is how much easier were those reads having the OC in his ear up till each snap? Were those pre snap reads all Kyle? 75%? 50%? 25%?
The more it was Nixon the easier it will be for this O to have success next year too.
I think it was heavily Kyle, but kinda hope it was both.
At snap or 15 on the play clock. Whichever is first.I thought the communication was cut off before the snap
Love it. That’s the best move
His game logs are awful.
Weigman won the starting job over Marcel Reed before suffering a shoulder injury in the Aggies’ Week 1 loss to Notre Dame. Weigman started in Week 2 against McNeese State, but missed nearly a month after that because of the injury."I feel like my best football is ahead of me," Weigman told ESPN. "I wasn't able to reach my full potential where I was at. I know what I'm capable of and what I can bring to a team and program."
It has to help. The OC sees the D, and knows the play and reminds the QB what the key is.While I think McCord has a lot to do with this, I also wonder how much of those reads are from the OC talking to the QB now.

Are we just completely overlooking Michael Johnson Jr.? I am also asking myself. He was a high 3 star/low 4 star QB out of HS with major offers. Bama, FSU, PSU, LSU, Miami etc.
Knows the offense better than a transfer, has rapport with teammates, he is a senior so he is mature. The only question is, what can he do with the lights on and are we willing to alter the offense to suit more of a running able QB?
Man this is going to be fascinating to see what Fran does.
My guess was Henry Belin at Duke. Brother on the team. NY kid, and is the backup to someone in his same class.I know I saw someone hinted on here that the guy we were eyeing is not a current starter and hasn’t been mentioned in here yet. Air Nolland from OSU came to mind for me. Another OSU guy he’s from GA so I’m sure Fran recruited him out of HS. Hasn’t hit the portal yet that I’ve seen but would anticipate he might given Sayin is their “next man up”. Just a shot in the dark
