Next year - QB?

My gut is that the mystery not yet portaled QB is in our conference and both of their hoops teams were in the Final Four..

My gut is telling me it's gonna be McCord next year. Zero inside info. Fran's comment yesterday about "Kyle's our QB until the NCAA says he's not" really confirmed it. It's all in the NCAA's hands
That’s been my gut feeling for a few weeks also.

I have this same feeling.

If you are McCord i dont think it hurts to come back for an extra year. Right now he isn't on any draft boards, that could change if he goes to the combine, but it also might not. Reports are he got $1.3 million to play this year. If he comes back for another $1.3+ million there is a good chance he's making as much, if not more, this year as he would make next year as a pro (7th round picks for example make about 1mil a year on a 4 yr contract, free agents usually a bit less). Coming back an extra year gives you the ability to make another 1.3+ million, go to the draft next next yr, and sign a 4 yr contract at let's just say 1.3 million per yr for 4 years and he basically creates a safe way to make an extra guaranteed 1.3 million if the NFL doesn't pan out, worst case scenario. Take out an insurance policy, try and improve on your perceived "weaknesses" and he may even be able to improve his draft rankings for next yr.

Minus he doesn’t have any more eligibility

Folks, I get it, we all would love to have McCord back next season….

It’s just not going to happen…..I’m sorry

So there’s zero chance he gets another year from the ncaa?

There must be more than a zero chance or why would the school take the time and money to apply for a waiver.
Again, I think it is incredibly unlikely but then we have several 7, 8, 9 year players around the country so I believe anything is possible.

Ageee there are so many kids that get waivers for less.
