Sellers rumors have been out for a week. Supposedly being offered massive money but I’d be surprised if a) transfer consideration rumors are true and b) he’d leave. Assuming it’s true the home town State U surely has boosters who can match.

Agree with all of this. If I’m him I don’t leave the hometown school either. I think he gets enough publicity there. It’s not like South Carolina is some small time program, and as others have noted, I’m sure they have some alumni that can either match or come close to other NIL offers.

That would be absolutely amazing if McCord is granted another year. With all these kids getting 7th and 8th years i'm sure giving him a 5th year is possible. Hypothetically, if he some how does it could be in Kyle's best interest to return. He's not a guarantee to make an active roster. If he hangs on and makes PS he only makes $225k/yr for the season. He could go the safe route and make more than that with NIL. That way he guarantees himself to make more money, goes into next year as a possible pre season all-american and heisman candidate and a chance to improve his draft stock even more now that he's fully on the radar. Just look as far as Cam Ward. He easily could have went pro last year. This is all very wishful thinking and i'm not going to hold my breathe but if he's given the opportunity to at least have that as a decision there would be a fighting chance.

I’m sure if he does in fact try to enter you would think GA tech would do everything they could to keep him, but one would imagine he would be a take at every SEC school looking for a QB.

Coming off a torn ACL and wasn't very good in the first two games for Wisconsin last year either.

“Wasn’t very good” is an opinion.Last year on a bad team he was 43-68, one TD in two games, 5-5 before being injured on opening drive against Bama in 3rd game. More importantly, he had a RTG OF 145. McCord career RTG was 151

I agree, the thing that made this season special and allowed this team to do so well was the buy in of the new guys and Kyle’s leadership. You can’t just pay a bunch of mercenaries and expect them to play together and for each other or to play for anything but themselves.
