NFL Coaching Carousel - where do they wind up?

So far we have Rex going to the Bills, the Jets drooling over Quinn, the Bears going after Kubiak. The Falcons have apparently narrowed the search to Todd Bowles and Dan Quinn. No clues yet on Oakland or San Fran.

Sources say Doug Marrone has standing offer to be consultant with Texans.

I believe that Bears are just as interested in Quinn too. It looks like Quinn will be the real winner this year because he can pick a team that he wants to join and he's going to get a good contract too.

No inside source here but I have a gut feeling Marrone still ends up with the Jets.

What did I tell you about drinking on the weekends?

Apparently, Gary Kubiak is staying put and not seeking a HC job.

Latest - the surprise with the no nonsense Bears organization is with the new Saints connected GM may be a better fit for Marrone than the Jets. Looks like Quinn & Marrone are top two finalists for either job...whoever offers first wins or loses based upon how you personally feel about Marrone.

No news can be good news on the Marrone front though. If an NFL team is high on him, they leak that theyre interested in another candidate, Marrone's camp counters by trying to sweeten negotiations for whichever club they're still in talks with.

Quiet surrounding Marrone could mean two things, it's really quiet in regards to his candidacy or it's hot behind the scenes and nobody wants to show their hand. Who knows.

I'm not sure of the source but almost 100% sure the Marrone and Bears connection is absolutely false. I think media sources are making a connection with the Saints organization with otherwise no credible information. Bears have interviewed 4 people already, called Kubiak, and have more interviews set up. None of them involve Marrone.

For now at least, the 2 hot names are Quinn and Bowles.

The agents are the biggest leakers. They try to leverage one team's interest against another. I would guess Atlanta will be in competition with the Jets for Quinn with the lower going after Bowles. Chicago? Who knows?

That is exactly the type of guy Rex needs as an oc/ qb coach
i don't like the stanford model but pros is different than college. in college, install your system, i don't care what players you have. they come and go anyway. in the pros, win next year. if they're stuck with EJ manuel, maybe Gabriel can teach EJ manuel not to hand off EVERY SINGLE TIME he runs the read option.

i don't know if benching cutler hurt trestman. maybe they go with someone else to get cutler. if they don't get cutler (blah anyway), they try to be a poor mans 49ers with not nearly the same speed at QB

Look like the Bills have finalized the deal with Greg Roman as OC.

Also looks like the Raiders are zeroing in on Del Rio. Has second interview coming up.

John Fox turns down interview with the NY Jets. Guess that says it all.

From all reports on ESPN and FOX Sports John Fox to the Bears seems like it will happen.

Good for the Bears. Fox will help them continue their mediocrity. He's never really impressed me a whole lot.

I'll eat some crow. Bears interviewed Marrone today. Was never formally announced so some people believe Pace interviewed him out of respect/formality. Although person I know isn't positive because Pace just showed up.

John Fox to interview with Chicago. That would be a good choice for the Bears.

Jets gave former Cardinals DC Todd Bowles a 4-year deal to be their HC according to adam schefter

Good hire for the Jets. He grew up in NJ. Going home.
