Watching the ridiculous officiating in these games made me wonder...

Is it worse for a ref to miss an obvious call or to throw a flag for something soft/borderline.

I find myself more tolerant of a missed call than a soft penalty.

The worst are the moronic replay decisions that defy logic (the Bills blown fumble call).

Baltimore's defense isn't even that good. They ate up on a lot of trash teams. Tennessee scored 13 points on a defense that gave up 42 to Cleveland, 34 to KC and 28 to two crappy offenses in Pittsburgh and Philly. Just an awful display of coaching and Harbaugh is going to get a shot against Buffalo or KC. Unbelievable. I despise the Ravens.

ESPN consistently does a lousy job with their football production. At the end of the game the main camera focus should be on Vrabel and Harbaugh given the bad blood from week 11. Just as they're about to shake hands the camera switches to show Marcus Peters acting like a sportsman as he's walking off the field. And can we lose the zoom focus of the fans cheering from home?

It’s so weird to me how people try to discredit Lamar. He led the NFL in passing touchdowns last year or close to it at I think just 23 years old on his way to 14-2 and winning MVP. Then of course the way he can put pressure on a defense and break a game open with his legs.

Way people talk about him sometimes you’d think he was a back end starter in the NFL. I laughed when Riddick (who I really like listening to) said on the broadcast the guy who at 24 has won a Heisman, NFL MVP, hasn’t missed the playoffs as a starter yet and went 14-2 in his first full year as starter needs to prove he can win.

Last time I checked those things you mentioned aren’t Championships or Super Bowls. All of these these young-gun-talented QBs will have to prove they can win when it counts. That’s how it works. It’s been that way since I’ve been able to comprehend football.

I get all that and know it’s the way sports works now but he’s only 24. I didn’t realize the clock had been ticking long enough that it’s something he has to prove already. Or atleast I don’t remember hearing that same stuff about other young quarterbacks this quickly.
