Siciliano is the anti-Hanson. He couldn’t understand why all the teams were going for 2 down 8 in the early window. He gets a lot wrong.
Hanson is funny and entertaining.

I'd rather make the other team try to go for two and miss than take the risk ourselves. I guess if I were the clearly inferior team I might take that risk but if im the better team, im playing it straight up and making them take risks.

It’s worth the gamble of going up 2 scores.
Especially since a 35 yard XP isn’t a guarantee anymore

my point is if you go up 8 in the second half of the game .. and are about even with or a better team than your opponent ... why make it easier for them ?53 percent is a total coin flip ...Why would I want that when I’m in the drivers seat ?

now if I’m facing a better team than my own , the coin flip odds are now a net positive for me

The way Philly played OT last week I really think Pederson figured that the NFC East was so bad why take the risk of setting up Cinci on a missed 64 yd FG and take the tie, which would be good enough to win this dumpster fire division.
