Yeah they already had to move things around to make that work, and now they are supposed to find a way to do it again?
Get this the Gilmore was on the plane with 20 people who were in close contact with Cam Newton. The Patriots took 2 planes to this game. Plane one was all people with no close contact to Cam and the other plane was full of people who were in close contact with Cam it was 20 people.
Meaning the contact tracing showed 20 players could be incubating the virus since it takes 14 days to be sure it’s not spread and the NFL didn’t care. Now 3 days later the virus showed up in Gilmore.
The NFL played this game on Monday knowing this. It’s a joke and Gilmore had contact with a number of Chiefs in this game. Look at the photo he took with Mahomes at the end as well. Gilmore tested negative on Sunday and Monday but that didn’t mean he was negative. The virus takes time to incubate. Meaning he played Monday with the virus.

Every additional player on the Pats (and any in the Chiefs) is 100% on the NFL. That game should never have been played this week and I said it all along. So so stupid

Doesnt current thinking also show that you dont transmit the virus if you are truely testing negative though? That was the point of daily testing so you get caught before you actually start to transmit the virus.

I think that would be appropriate at this point. Based on the initial reports, I think it's fair to say they weren't following the guidelines appropriately. Obviously need to investigate to confirm, but this is ridiculous for one team.

I will say though what will the NFL do if Mahomes tests positive?
Will they do what they did to New England and just go forward with the game?
The NFL has shown they don’t care about consistency.
If the NFL isn’t going to add a week to the schedule then forcing a forfeit is the correct call.
