NFL Thread - 2020

the funny thing is that at 0-5 the giants only have to beat philly/wash and dallas without ZAk to win the Div.. not totally out of reach as bad as all these teams are.

Next week
Philly loses to Baltimore.
Dallas loses to Cardinals next Monday night.
Washington-NY Giants winner is right in the thick of the NFC East race.

7-9 wins this division. Hell 6-9-1 might win this division. I don’t think Philadelphia will be favored in any non-division game left on there schedule.
It’s crazy how bad the NFC East is.

I can understand Arthur Blank finally running out of patience with Dan Quinn but Raheem Morris? Guy was a complete dumpster fire with the Bucs (17-31) and currently has been presiding over one of the worst defenses in the NFL as the ATL DC. From bad to worse.

what was Minn thinking? you score to go up 25-21? you have to go for 2 to make it 6.. but they dont and then they dont kick the fg to go up 8 on top of that?
The thinking was your playing the best QB on the planet right now let's get a few inches and end it. And if you don't get it make them go 95 yards.

I agree with the decision but not the play call. You should be able to QB sneak for half a yard.

the pt was why didnt they go for 2 earlier? they compounded that mistake with the 2nd decision which is a toss up to me.. if it was SU no way I am going for that first down no matter the stats.

I have seen four Super Bowl titles in my life, it's the only reason I can sanely bear through these Gettleman seasons.

Is Philly the odds on favorite to win the division with Dak out now? I haven't looked at the odds.

I'm going back to sporting my LT and Mark Bavaro jerseys.

My online account has Dallas still favored to win the East.
Dallas -125
Philadelphia +130
Washington +900
NY Giants +3500

Those giants odds are kinda out of whack.

Phillys schedule is brutal, their cross over games are the Saints and Packers. I think the Cowboys are still a factor. Dalton was brought here to lead this team to the playoffs if anything happened to Dak. I think it comes down to the Cowboys/Eagles game in week 16.

That would make sense. I just can't see the Giants making a run even though we do show flashes...

The Cuse/Giants football weekends this year are just depressing.

Well the fear of Wilson driving his team down the field for a TD was well founded. You knew the Vikes weren't going to stop them so it was do you think u can stop a two point conversion or make an 18 inch 4th down. I'd choose the latter every time. Plus making the FG isn't a 100% proposition either.

Each NFC East team still has five games left within the division or nearly half their remaining schedule. How those games play out will probably decide the division. The Cowboys still have plenty of offensive talent but missing the two OTs and having a putrid defense make them a shaky favorite imo.

well 25 yd fgs are not 100% but its pretty high.. and then they sill had to go 75yds and make the 2pt if you make the fg. I dont mind the going for it.. So you add on a 95% thing and then they have to score and make a 50% thing.. Didnt the stats say they had a 15% chance or something like that?

They went 94 yards pretty quickly. The math they showed on the broadcast said going for it was the right decision. To me it was the right decision because you take it out of the hands of Wilson, the hands down leader in the MVP clubhouse.

The Eagles are going to rue the day they lost to Washington and tied the Bengals. The Eagles have a 6 game stretch this year where they are at the Browns, Seahawks at home, at the Packers, Host the Saints, and Play at Arizona and at Dallas.

you can get the giants at close to 20-1 if you told me they split with Dallas and beat wash twice would it shock you..

Dallas beats Wash twice and splits with Philly/Giants and Cincy and ends up with 6
Giants Beats dallas Splits with Philly and beats wash twice and Cinci thats 5.
Philly splits with Dallas/Giants/Wash thats 4 and a tie

Wash could decide this by beating someone like Philly earlier if they beat Dallas once a tie at 5 wins could be wonky fun

Wilson and Allen going undefeated would interesting.. On the other hand they probably should have lost 4 of the 5 games too.

The QB doesn't matter in Dallas. That defense isn't going to allow for this team to go anywhere. It is historically bad. They gave up 30+ points to the Giants who are near last in offense.

This season is over. Better to lose and get a top 5 pick for the Defense and Dak's return next year.

The division is very winnable 7 and 9 might get it done. You don't think we can win 5 more games?

Just too many injuries. Missing starters at QB, both OT, both DT, MLB, and CB. They are not good enough to overcome any of that.

I would rather they play for next year. Get guys healthy, play the young guys getting them experience and bank a top 5 pick for next year. They won't do that though. They will half ass back into a wild card game and drop to low in the draft to get an impact player.

Does it really matter? This franchise is measured by Super Bowls, not wild card games. This defense cannot hold against anyone so they are not winning a post season game.

I would rather have top 5 pick and get someone on D who is actual stud.

Yes you still try to win games. I still want a playoff game. They might win the division and still get a decent draft pick. I think we might have to replace tyron with our 1st round pick.

No way can we go offense next year imo. They have to go heavy D. Sean Lee is their best player and he isn't even playing.
