Nike Deal Announcement

Under Armour and Adidas are in major trouble financially. Neither is capable of spending a lot of money on new college clients. I think we would all love to see more competition for these rights but the reality is that the timing is bad for Syracuse right now.

It is great that the football and basketball teams are both in the top 15. The athletic department is in the best shape it has been in for many years. The problem is with the market...

If thats the case, lets not sign a long term deal.....re-up for 3-5 years and hope the market is better next time around?

Exactly...

My source indicates a move to Ari and we will be rocking uniforms that coordinate with the Menthol 10's

RUSSEL? WHAT IN THE ?
(I wasn’t being serious. We aren’t signing w/ Russel. They joke is that their uniforms are terrible quality. It’s my understanding that GT has had all kinds of issues. Or at least they did when they were signed w/ Russel. I’m not sure if they still are.)

I know this is the narrative but is it true, they seemed to have spent a lot of money the last year or two. Adidas signed a $119 million apparel deal with Washington Huskies in April - $12 mill a year.

and they gave Nebraska an 11-year, $128-million last year.

So long, Swoosh: UW Huskies break away from Nike, agree to $119 million apparel deal with Adidas

I'm trying to find what all the most recent deals were and here is a link for the top 20 deals from 2017/18. Not sure of the accuracy. It seems like Adidas/UA have 9 of the top 12 deals.

Forbes says the market is soft.

Remember when John Wallace had a shoe deal with Karl Kani?

Since most of the country seems to think Syracuse is the frozen north, we should embrace it:

Trust in the Wild one. Which ever company he goes with realizes that SU is on the way up. They know that the ACC network and stadium re do is going to bring increased coverage. We are going to get one heck of a deal.

Move us to the Jordan brand, get rid of Orange and go back to Orangemen and Orangewomen. Dumbest decision ever.

Defeat the jabberwocky and save Wonderland.
