Nike Deal Announcement

The Washington deal was a strategic one to get a big win in the home area of Nike (Pacific Northwest). Adidas is done dangling big dollars to steal big name programs from Nike, at least for a while.

You don't have to accept it, but it is true. I wish it wasn't.

All we can do it work at making our sports programs even better and bide our time.

If thats the case, lets not sign a long term deal...re-up for 3-5 years and hope the market is better next time around?

I mean this is the simple solution. If Nike doesn't want to pony up real money then tell fine you get a short term deal. No need to sign anything longer than 5 years if Nike won't pay market value. I would hope this is what Wildhack will do.

Seven years to rekindle a thread. That might be a record. I'm more of a Nike fan than Adidas, but Adidas has and still makes the best fitting golf shirts on the market. Puma #2.

That said, Cuse needs to become an Jordan Brand school.

I hope Nike comes out with an SU pair, I'll buy them in two seconds no matter the price.

Doesn't SU as a brand sell a pretty high amount of apparel overall?
