I imagine it's got to be quite a bit easier raising money program kids who have blossomed and proved their production (and attitude) than it is to raise money for a hired gun and all the uncertainty that entails.

Getting money for McCord, OG, Pena, Watson, LQA and even a Spoon/Wohlabaugh/Zeed etc has got to be light years easier than a G5 star player or somebody from the 2 deep at random SEC/B1G school.

It is probably true but I worry that we really need help next year from the portal. If this was year 3 of Frans high school recruiting, maybe not. But year 2, I worry

I have seen some comments that we might be also waiting on a few players who could transfer after the playoffs. Seemingly many teams have back channels with portal targets who sign a day or two after going in. I wonder if Fran and staff have leveraged any with players in the playoffs. Maybe that's where they are looking to get their Center and LB needs? Hard to believe we will remain status quo at those two spots.
