I look at that depth chart of receivers and it's no wonder Hunt has had a poor season and is injured.

Awful.

good it's what we've been saying right along and clamoring for. A return of the FB and likely an attempt at a run based smash mouthed power I offense as a base utilizing the TE's blocking. Good not for this game certainly but for the rest of the season. As long as they offset it going back to and with some spread formation passes on occasion, this season might not be a total loss. Meaning maybe 2-3 more wins and some competitiveness in games not FSU/Clemson.

It can be done in mid stream midseason to salvage a season. Again not to save a season but salvage something.

Hunt has missed about 20-25 throws this year. It ain't completely the receivers fault. His accuracy is simply ungood.

Agree. It's a combination.

Just amazing that Fleming still sits atop the depth chart.

I think I can count his catches this year on one hand.

fullbacks are second to the elusive playmaker unicorn as the solution to every bad teams problems

fullbacks are a great way to pull another defender in the box. then we gotta hope that more people smashing into each other in the box is going to spring big runs. why not just get that defender the hell out of the way?

we don't have to give up on the bubble screen just because mcdonald didn't get it.

Random inane thoughts: Riley Dixon is our tallest starter on the team at 6'5"? (tied with Lasker)Plus he's 221lbs - never realized he was that big. Great size for a kicker. Ok, he can pass, rush`- wonder if he can catch?

Just don't know if they can change that quickly. What did Lester run at Elmhurst?

From what I have read he's more of a west coast guy, not afraid to run the ball though.

Offenses have changed over time, for sure, but the late 80s-90s 49ers used the fb exquisitely. Carroll also did well with them at usc. I will take a prostyle offense any day over this spread garbage. Even with this chart you will see a lot of 3wr/1rb sets...hopefully it just rids us of all the bubble garbage.

he has been listed as start for last 3 games
Well that's good then...seems like every time I look 88/22 are on the field. Get the young guys in and lots of reps IMO.

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Relax, Lester doesn't have too many cards in his hands right now. He set records for passing TD.s so I don't think he is an old ground and pound guy. He needs to get by FSU alive and healthy and plan for Wake. We'll see what happens at Winston-Salem.

Remember, he needs to get the QB out alive so I don't expect to see many empty sets.

Bubble garbage? Tell ND that.

Eh, nd plays to a defensive scheme. They bubble a bit week to week but lots of their stuff is downfield. Kelly employs ALOT of stuff. Too much at times.

Well they threw 25 at us.
