Noel cut list to 3

Yeah I know kinda wishing Coleman went to Kentucky now instead

That's crazy talk right there. You wish our 5* center went elsewhere so we could get another 5* center?! Be happy we're getting 5* centers.

I read somewhere that Noel only weighs about 215-220 pounds. Sounds like he would be more suited for PF at the NBA level which is where he probably projects. Don't think with his immense talent, playing time will be an issue at all. Preparation for the NBA might favor Kentucky but he has been coming to SU for visits and camps for awhile, so I have to believe that his "emotional" choice would be SU. Either way he will probably be #1 choice for the 2013 draft. Having said all that, I think it would be a hoot if he chose Georgetown who no one things is a serious choice.

Perhaps when Rak was playing PF, but yesterday with James and KJ, they run similiar sets on offense. Now NN is not a jump shooter, so I agree with you there.
those two dude do play very similar... but that is pretty rare, both have outside abilities.

We have 4 bigs with Noels.

for 3/4 of the season JB will try to push two of them at the four.

And JB is going to take our high post threat and try to find a low post threat to aid them.

With Noels and DC 2 big questions...
1. Will Noels have the dribble and footwork to get around his guy and score in the high post?
2. Will Dajuan have the backdown without charging to score out of the high post?

If both yes they both will roll to the low post and be mroe interchangable then AO and Jackson were at the high and low post in 010.

If Noel is as great as people say he is, then why would he be worried about Coleman (who, by the way, is going to be great at Syracuse)?

No **** why do ppl keep saying this? LOL at ppl that would rather have Coleman over Noel.
You never turn down a 4 year player.

He could, you know, add muscle.

His feet are huge. He should fill out. Alonzo Mourning comes to mind.

So u wouldn't have traded Arinze for Anthony Davis?

News flash. You can recruit more than one big man at a time. You do understand that correct?

I actually think we still have a pretty good shot at Noel. Whatever happens happens.

I would rather have Noel over Coleman is all i'm saying and if Coleman went to Kentucky our chances would be greater.

No they wouldnt. Noel knows he will start over anyone so it doesnt matter who commits. Zero relevance.

Noel is a center. Saying he is better suited at PF, is akin to saying Anthony Davis is better suited there. lol. Noel will start at center anywhere he goes from day one , unless he chooses UK and Davis is still there.

Coleman is a 5* recruit who is a local kid that does make a difference. Look at the ppl this year calling for Triche over Waiters. He goes to Kentucky it's only him.

Next Year:

C- Xmas, Coleman, Keita
PF- Fair/Southerland
SF- Southerland/Grant
SG- Triche/Cooney
PG- MCW/Triche

UK seems to make a lot more sense to me.

We really could use another SF/PF type.

Fair, Southerland and Grant?

We need another PF type that can move. Noel is a perfect fit. Xmas and Coleman can rotate in the middle, Noel can play the 4/wing with Southerland/Fair on the other side and backing up Noel.

Our biggest need might be a Guard that can actually score from all 3 levels (3, mid range, in the paint) a la Dion...

I don't understand why it has to be Noel v. DC2. DC2 was a great get and eventually will be a sullinger type player. Noel would be an amazing to add for next year and puts us in the Top 5 preseason. All I was saying is that it was crazy for people to say I wish Coleman wouldn't have committed. The guy is going to be good. And generally I would take a 4 year guy over a one and done. For every Anthony Davis or Carmelo Anthony there is a Donte Greene.
